After these high-speed rail lines are completed and opened to traffic, Hangzhou will reach Shanghai, Nanjing (Beijing), Hefei, Huangshan, Wuhan, Nanchang, Wenzhou, Taizhou and Ningbo, and the time for high-speed rail to reach many cities will be greatly shortened. For example, to go outside the province, it takes only about 3 hours from Hangzhou to Wuhan, only 6 hours to Hong Kong, and you can also take the high-speed train directly to Pudong Airport. It only takes about 1 hour to go to other cities in the province, from Hangzhou to Taizhou and Wenzhou.
Hangzhou Lin Ji High-speed Railway, passing through Lin 'an District of Hangzhou, will achieve full coverage of high-speed railways in all districts and counties (cities) under the jurisdiction of Hangzhou. As a provincial capital city, the approval of the new planning of Hangzhou Railway Hub will also promote the development of twin cities in the province. For example, after the completion of the high-speed railway from Hangzhou to Lin Ji, the high-speed railway from Ningbo can enter Hangzhou West Railway Station through the tie line, thus opening up the high-speed railway passage to the west in the coastal areas of Zhejiang. After the completion of the Hangzhou Railway Hub, the one-hour traffic circle in the whole province will basically take shape.
An important reason for revising the planning of Hangzhou railway hub is that the current situation of railway hub does not match the urban development pattern and urban industrial layout of Hangzhou.
