Li, 1968 was born in Huantai, Shandong Province in February, and 1983 to 1986 studied in Huantai No.1 Middle School in Shandong Province. 1986, studied in department of mechanical engineering, Tsinghua University, and obtained bachelor's and doctor's degrees. In 2004, he served as director of the Institute of Man-machine and Environmental Engineering, director of the National Engineering Laboratory of Neurocontrol Technology in 20021,and president of Tsinghua University in 2023. He has been engaged in the research work in the field of man-machine and environmental engineering for a long time, and has made important achievements in brain pacemaker and neuromodulation technology.
Li has served as deputy director of the NDT teaching and research section in department of mechanical engineering, Tsinghua University, deputy director of the Institute of Automation, and director of the Institute of Man-machine and Environmental Engineering of the Aerospace Research Institute. He has won many national and provincial science and technology awards and published many academic papers. Professor Li's academic achievements and leadership have been widely recognized and made important contributions to the development of neuromodulation technology in China.

From 65438 to 0998, Li won the Tsinghua University Young Teachers' Teaching Excellence Award, which was an affirmation and recognition of his teaching work. 20 15 was awarded the title of Beijing Advanced Worker, which is the highest praise from Beijing Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government for his hard work and outstanding performance.
