The Relationship between Ding Baozhen and General Chengdu
There is no direct relationship. Huang Zhi, the son of Ding Baozhen, was born in Pingyuan, Guizhou (now Zhijin, Bijie) and was a scholar in Xianfeng, Qing Dynasty for three years (1853). He has served as editor of imperial academy Jishi Shu, governor of Yuezhou, governor of Changsha, governor of Shandong, governor of Sichuan and general of Chengdu. He was a general stationed in Chengdu during the Qing Dynasty. His main duties were to maintain local public order and govern local government affairs. There is no difference between them.
