Or take the permanent residence or birthplace of my great-grandfather (or great-grandfather, great-grandfather) as my birthplace, or take the permanent residence or birthplace of my great-grandmother (or great-grandmother, great-grandmother) as my birthplace.
When filling in the place of origin, you only need to go to the county (city) specifically, and you don't need to refine the province/autonomous region/municipality directly under the central government+district/county.
Matters needing attention
When filling in the place of birth, it should be noted that the place of birth refers to the place of residence of ancestors or individuals, not the current place of residence. So our native place should be where our grandfather lived when we were born. For example, if my grandfather died, just fill in the place where my grandfather died. If the grandfather has not left the permanent residence, fill in that the grandfather should leave the permanent residence.
However, after registering the place of origin, if my grandfather moves the household registration, the place of origin need not be changed. Generally speaking, it is enough to write the place of origin at the county (district) level, or fill in the abbreviations of provinces, cities, municipalities directly under the central government and autonomous regions.
