On September 15, the United Nations Environment Programme and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific recently presented two awards to the Anti-smuggling Bureau of China Customs and Liu Xiaohui, director of the Asian Environmental Law Enforcement Award, in recognition of the efforts and contributions made by China Customs in maintaining ecological environment security. The Asian Environmental Law Enforcement Award was established by the United Nations Environment Programme to commend and reward Asian organizations and individuals who have made outstanding contributions in combating environmental pollution crimes. ?

In the past ten years, the national customs anti-smuggling department has filed more than 700 cases of smuggling solid waste and chemicals, and verified 2.37 million tons of solid waste and 9,700 tons of ODS substances that destroy the ozone layer. ?
