Recently, I had a whim to chat with some younger brothers and sisters, hoping to help them with some of my own experience. Seems a little nosy?
I also chatted with some people these days and found that everyone has one thing in common: I don't know what I can do or what I am good at. Part of the reason is that specialized courses are very complicated, and the other part is that we don't know ourselves clearly, which is a common problem of modern college students. Under normal circumstances, I will let them use the star method to analyze everything they have done in college in the past three years and get to know themselves again through these experiences. And what are the steps of the star method? Let me briefly introduce here:
2
The star rule is the abbreviation of the first letter of situation, task, action and result. STAR rule is a tool that interviewers often use to collect specific information and abilities related to their work. Compared with the traditional interview method, the star rule can understand the interviewer more deeply and predict the interviewer's future work performance more accurately.
Situation: The interviewer wants you to show a recent challenge and a situation where you found yourself.
Situation: The interviewer wants you to describe a recent challenge or situation.
Task: What must you accomplish? The interviewer will see what you want to achieve in this situation.
Task: What task do you want to accomplish? What the interviewer wants to know is how you define your task under the above circumstances.
Action: What did you do? The interviewer will ask you what you did, why you did it, and what your options were.
Action: What did you do? What the interviewer wants to know is what did you do? Why are you doing this? Is there an alternative?
Result: What is the result of your action? What have you achieved through your actions? Have you achieved your goal? What did you learn from this experience and have you used this knowledge since then?
Result: What is the result of your action? What do you get from your behavior? Did you achieve your goal? What lessons have you learned from it? Have you used these experiences since then?

When writing resumes and interviews, we need to describe our work experience or personal experience. At this time, use the star rule to establish a personal event module, so that HR can better judge your personal ability and work potential through your past experience.
Step 1: List every experience (internship experience/club activities/work projects, etc.). ) according to the four points required by the star method;
Step 2: Tap the bright spots. From the listed activity modules, find out the highlights that can reflect their own abilities and advantages, such as leadership, communication ability, adaptability and learning ability.
Let's take "the first-year students win the championship in the debate" as an example to make a personal event module for reference only:
There are five teams from the S (Situation) Department. The advantage is that ... our group ...
T (task) be familiar with the debate process, master the debate skills and win the department championship.
A (Action) Organize data, organize group study, prepare training questions, train in groups, and assign tasks according to each person's characteristics.
R (grade) won the championship of the department debate.
Ability to communicate, cooperate, lead and actively solve problems.
Step 3: According to the job requirements, choose to write relevant experiences on your resume.

In addition to self-analysis based on the star method, we must maintain a peaceful mind. The following passage was written in my impression notes in 20 14 (that is, when I was a junior), hoping to bring you some thoughts.
Sometimes I panic inexplicably when I am lonely, because once I stop everything and let myself choose the next step, I will be at a loss. This is because, most of the time, we don't know the meaning of our lives.
The hardest thing in this world is to know yourself. What are you good at, what are you suitable for, and what do you like? No one is really sure.
Many times, I am taken away by other people's comments and look at myself in turn.
This is the meaning of loneliness. When I meditate, I often observe myself, feel my existence, and then gradually forget myself. In this process, we will constantly have a new understanding and cognition of ourselves, reflect on ourselves every day, and constantly try those new ideas and thinking, and life will gradually come out of its own meaning.
Actually, life is meaningless. In the eyes of heaven and earth, what is the difference between the appearance and disappearance of life? However, for us, to find our own way, let us not regret, not regret, chic and heartfelt, I have a good life. This is the greatest significance.
