Huang Shanzhi also records that Lingxi Spring, also known as Zhangxiquan, is the spring eye of monks in eastern China and Zhangxi. The spring water is sweet for monks to drink.
The original site of Lingxi Spring is in the temple of Yungu Temple. Unfortunately, Yungu Temple was burned down in the Qing Dynasty, and the spring of Lingxi Spring was blocked and deserted.
In 2004, the Huangshan Scenic Area restored Lingxi Spring, a thousand-year-old historical and cultural site, and this historical heritage reappeared. After the restoration, the Lingxi Spring Monument covers an area of about 1.50 square meters, and the spring pool is basically restored to its original state. The spring pool is 1.49 meters deep, 6.0 meters long and 4.75 meters wide. The spring water is endless and crystal clear. The exquisite railings around the spring pool attracted many tourists to visit.
