On October 4th, 65438/KLOC-0, a film "Winter Holiday" directed and performed by Chinese immigrants from Canada explained their immigrant life and premiered at the first Toronto Chinese Film Festival.

According to China News Service, the film's director Li said at the premiere on the 4th that "Winter Holiday" did not have eye-catching commercial elements such as headboards and pillows, but truly showed the life of an immigrant from China with a sincere attitude.

Winter Holiday tells the story of a mainland immigrant to Qualcomm who has no livelihood. His girlfriend suddenly leaves, leaving him with an autistic child. Therefore, Qualcomm and the child who is not his own face an extremely cold holiday.

The production team of "Winter Holiday" is all new immigrants from Chinese mainland, and the actors are mostly amateurs, who take part in the filming in the form of volunteers.

Li, who immigrated to Canada in 2004, graduated from Beijing Film Academy, majoring in feature film photography. His film Escape, as the main photographer, was selected for Cannes International Film Festival twice.

It is reported that Winter Holiday will be shown in Chinese mainland after the Toronto China Film Festival, and it is planned to be introduced to the international market.

According to the organizer, the Toronto Chinese Film Festival, held for the first time this year, is a new platform for filmmakers from all over the world. The film festival will select seven awards, including best film, best director and best actor and actress.
