Tea is necessary. One is to see what tea to drink, the other is to see who to drink with, and more importantly, what to talk about when drinking tea. Mr. Mao is just 70 years old this year, but he is still alive. I like dealing with young people, people I get along with, people who know and understand him. He has no shelf, and probably never brags about it, because it is done by people who are not confident. Anyone who is confident is extremely low-key and not extravagant. The more powerful he is, the more he can hold his breath and be grounded. We chatted happily, without distance and estrangement, about painting and calligraphy, articles, pen and ink, interest, style, painting and calligraphy language, study and study. As a matter of fact, Mr. Mao not only paints well, but also received biographies from his teachers, Huo Chunyang, Lu Yun and Huang Dingchu. His knowledge and taste are first-class. He said modestly that he dared not talk about style, and that was later.
Originally, I came to Yueyang this time to find relatives and friends. If you haven't found them yet, visiting friends is even more essential. Dalin has introduced a lot, and I think I have gained a lot. The first person I met was Mr. Mao. Because Dalin talked too much, I read some related paintings and materials one after another. It can be said that because of this, there is a yearning in my heart, not like new friends, but like old friends. I haven't written character reviews, nor have I done book reviews or painting reviews. First, without this knowledge, the key is not having the ability to comment on others. This requires both professional level, theoretical level and even policy level. It's a little difficult. On weekdays, Mr. Mao likes to pay money to Hunan people. When asked, it was Yueyang people, with the wisdom, diligence, massiness and atmosphere of Hunan people. He used to work in a state-owned enterprise. He taught calligraphy and painting by himself, and often went to the door to learn from the teacher. His spirit of self-study is to learn while learning and keep honing. "Looking for a strange peak to draft", he often sketched in the mountains with pen and ink painting tools. Mr. Guan Mao's landscape works are mostly Dongting area, hills and gullies, flowers, insects and fish, which are so full of vitality in his works, showing Mr. Wang's love for life. It is this love for nature that feeds back his pen and ink. He likes to play freely on the basis of tradition, even if he doesn't have decades of kung fu, even if he doesn't have a very smart person. From Mr. Mao's pen and ink, we can also see our confidence in our own painting and calligraphy language. Looking at Mr. Mao's paintings, at first glance, the rough ones are rough, paved with stones, fine ones are fine, dry and wet alternate, full of energy, and the pen and ink are full of interest. The philosophical thinking between square inches is appropriate, flexible and full of weather. Don't stick to one pattern, integrate the strengths of a hundred schools and express your own thunder. Mr. Mao often writes whatever he wants, regardless of his works. For example, his poem "Plum Blossom" says: Plum blossoms are written in white, and branches are like buds like iron flowers. Hand full of cold paper, regardless of the spring breeze. In the paragraph entitled "New Moon", it is written: "Bud has not read the whole world, but Feng Ren has broken ground and tattooed the sky."
It is a great pleasure to watch Mr. Mao paint. His pen and ink are bold, free and open-minded, and his structure and composition are unique and innocent, which inadvertently shows his spirit. Used in the middle side, either urgent or slow, or relaxed or convergent, or thick or light, or sudden or frustrated. Calligraphy refill, durable. It's natural to drink some wine. Painting after drinking is also impressive. If I had known that Mr. Wang could drink and paint, I would have written a note in the article Drinking in the Han Dynasty, but it doesn't matter. Mr. Wang's wine can boost energy, add fun and spice. When Mr. Wang learns painting, he worships a teacher first, and he gets four words: Ding Tou Rat Wei. If you say goodbye to your teacher, you will get two words: interest. Thanks to the first teacher, you have nothing to say, hehe. In Mr. Mao's view, it is not only the three stages of his painting, but also the triple realm. Interested parties, if you want to explain in detail, you can consult your husband.
Look at Mr. Mao again. His hair is all white, with almost no decoration. He is extremely ordinary, but he still does not change his literati temperament and noble feelings.
Mr. Mao has a student, Zhong Ming, who studied painting for five or six years, specializing in flowers and birds. I heard that the teacher came to Dalin's studio, and she also came. He turned out to be a beautiful painter. Teacher Mao mentioned this student, and he was quite proud. He thinks that he has an aura, is considerate and is a talent. I have seen her paintings, and there is a wind of being a teacher. She likes to make lotus flowers, wrote two, and arranged one herself, which may not be satisfactory. But if you fool a layman like me, you can still do it. Because I think this painting is not good at all, full of vitality and agility, full of pen and ink and fun. Later, I wrote a poem specially for this painting. The poem is like this: the pen writes flowers and the soul is stained with ink, and the cinnabar reflects the clear waves. The moon melts and flows late, and the leaves are full of dreams. Write a lotus rhyme picture with Zhong Ming's female history as the topic. I didn't dare to post it on WeChat. I just showed it to Ms. Zhong and Mr. Mao. Of course, they all agreed. I think so too. But we're not talking about the same person. Maybe they are talking about poetry, but I am talking about this lotus rhyme picture.
Later, Mr. Mao also wrote a fan for me, with the following sentence: farmers have less leisure months. Let me fill in a question: there are clouds everywhere and swaying shadows on the walls. Farmers have few idle months, and mountain villages have many wild interests. Yiyi. Mr. Mao was very happy and sent another Zhang Qiu color map to match the poem. I replied: the water is covered by mountains and fog, and there are people in the depths of the stream. Autumn in the south of the Yangtze River comes back late, half dyed with morning glow and half dyed with sunset glow. In the mountains in late autumn. Mr. Mao said, ok, draw it right away. Later, he said that he would change "one home" to "two or three homes" and said that cooperation was pleasant. I was already asleep at that time, and it was early the next morning when I saw the reply.
