I believe everyone has heard of the reputation of Chu Bawang. He was brave and good at fighting since childhood, and he followed his uncle Xiang Liang to launch an uprising in Wuzhong in his early years. After Xiang Liang was killed, he led the Chu army to cross the river to save Zhao. In the Battle of Julu, he fought Qin Jun nine times with a weak force, and finally killed Su Jiao, captured Wang Li alive and forced Zhang Han to surrender. If it weren't for Xiang Yu dragging Qin Jun's main force, it is estimated that Liu Bang's small army would have been destroyed.
But it was also because Xiang Yu was too conceited that he lost the battle between Chu and Han. Later, he was surrounded by Han Xin and never surrendered. Instead, he bravely fought his way out for his brothers. Although defeated in the end, it won the respect of future generations. Therefore, Li Qingzhao wrote in "Summer quatrains": "I miss Xiang Yu so far and refuse to cross Jiangdong."
2. Pound, the famous Cao Wei.
At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, the world was in chaos, warlords were in melee, and it was common for generals to change political groups. Pound followed not Cao Cao, but Marten, a warlord in Liangzhou. In the process of following Marten's campaign, he repeatedly made meritorious military service and won the title of the three armed forces. After Marten was incorporated by Cao Cao, Pound followed his son Ma Chao. Later, Ma Chao was defeated, and they took refuge in Zhang Lu in Hanzhong. Because Zhang Lu also surrendered to Cao Cao, Ma Chao followed Liu Bei, and Pound joined the Cao Wei Group.
In the battle of Xiangfan, Pound led troops to support Coss. In the battle with Guan Yu, an arrow hit Guan Yu's forehead. Later, due to the continuous rainstorm in the local area for dozens of days, the Hanshui River soared, and Guan Yu took advantage of the situation to flood the seventh army, which wiped out Pound and Yujin's troops. After catching Pound, Guan Yu advised him to surrender to Shu Han, but Pound refused to surrender. Guan Yu praised his loyalty, but killed him for doing his own thing. Later, Pang Hui, the son of Pound, avenged his father. After the demise of Shu Han, Guan Yu was eliminated.
