1937, War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression broke out and the main force of the Red Army was reorganized into the Eighth Route Army. These three famous teachers later became marshals. They are Lin Biao, He Long and Liu Bocheng.
Among the deputy teachers of the three main divisions, there are two marshals, namely 1 15, Nie, and 129, Xu. 120 Xiao Ke, deputy division commander, was awarded the rank of general.
So, what happened to the famous Sixth Brigade of the Eighth Route Army?
The three main divisions of the Eighth Route Army have a quota of 1.5 million, and each division has two brigades, including 165, 438+05, 343 and 344 brigades, 120, 358 and 359 brigades, and 129, 385 and 386 brigades.
When the Eighth Route Army was first established, the six major brigade commanders were:
1 15 Division: Chen Guang and Brigadier General of 343 Brigade, Xu Haidong and Brigadier General of 344 Brigade; 120 Division: Brigadier General Zhang Zongxun of 358 Division and Brigadier General Chen Bojun of 359 Division; 129th Division: Brigadier General Wang Hongkun of the 385th Division and Brigadier General Chen Geng of the 386th Division.
Among the six brigade commanders of the Eighth Route Army, Chen Guang's military ability is outstanding. After Lin Biao was injured, he served as the division commander of 1 15, and led the main force of 1 15 with the political commissar Luo Ronghuan to Shandong. The Shandong Anti-Japanese Base Area later became the largest base area with the best quality and the richest resources in China, and Chen Guang also contributed.
However, his contribution is also obvious, but his way of using troops is similar to that of Meng. When he was in Shandong, he had a tense relationship with many people and was finally transferred back to Yan 'an. During the War of Liberation, there were some disputes between Northeast China and Lin Biao.
After the founding of New China, Chen Guang served as deputy commander of Guangdong Military Region. Temper unchanged, and Ye Jianying, who is in charge of the southeast, also has differences. 1On June 7, 954, Chen Guang set himself on fire in Wuhan.
Xu Haidong is a famous soldier in the army, known as "Xu Minghu", who sacrificed 66 people for the revolution!
Xu Haidong originally belonged to the Red Fourth Army in the Hubei-Henan-Anhui Soviet Area, but after the main force went west on the Long March, it left the Red 25th Army in Xu Haidong. Later, the Red 25 Army fought alone in the Long March, and no big red army could meet them on the way, nor did it meet any big red army. But the Red 25th Army led by Xu Haidong was the first of all the Red Army teams to arrive in northern Shaanxi.
Xu Haidong made great contributions to the revolution. He not only cooperated with the Central Red Army, but also led the troops to wait for 18 days on the Xilan Highway at great risk! Moreover, after Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai and others led the Central Red Army to the northwest, it was Xu Haidong who gave all his 7,000 dollars to the Central Red Army! Although Xu Haidong missed most of the wars due to injury in his later years, Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai insisted on conferring him the rank of general, ranking second only to Su Yu, the god of war.
The brigade commander of the 358th Brigade was originally Lu Dongsheng, but he didn't arrive and was replaced by Zhang Zongxun (Lu Dongsheng graduated from the famous Fu Longzhi Military Academy and was also a valiant soldier in the army, but unfortunately died in the winter of 1945, otherwise he would be a powerful potential candidate for the general).
Zhang Zongxun is very strong. He graduated from Huangpu Phase 5. He was not only a general of the Central Red Army, but also transferred to the Red Fourth Front Army as the chief of staff. To the war of liberation, Zhang Zongxun served as the deputy commander of the Northwest Field Army and was Peng's right-hand man!
Originally, according to the level of Zhang Zongxun, awarding generals should be no problem. In the award scheme submitted by Peng and Luo Ronghuan, there were 65,438+05 general candidates at first, and Zhang Zongxun was one of them. But in the end, the list of generals was reduced to 10, and Zhang Zongxun was unfortunately defeated-if he performed well in the battle of Datong-Jining, the generals should have a share.
Zhang Zongxun taught his son well, and his son later became a general, a father-son general, which is extremely rare in the PLA. Like father, like son!
359 Brigade is famous because there is a saying in the famous red song "Nanniwan": 359 Brigade is a model while fighting and producing. However, the brigade commander of the 359th Brigade was already Wang Zhen.
When the 359 Brigade was first established, the brigade commander was Chen Bojun and the deputy brigade commander was Wang Zhen.
Chen Bojun graduated from Whampoa Military Academy, participated in the Autumn Harvest Uprising, and served as the commander of Red 15 Army and the chief of staff of Red 5 Army. In the war of liberation, he served as the first deputy commander of the Fourth Field 12 Corps and the commander of the 45 th Army. His former deputy, Wang Zhen, became a wildlife expert. Both military strategists are outstanding figures and have made great contributions. They were all awarded the rank of general on 1955.
Wang Hongkun is a famous soldier in the army and one of the 55 generals awarded by 1955, but he has a cousin who is more powerful than him, ranking one level higher than him, and is one of the top ten generals. He is Wang Shusheng, deputy commander-in-chief of the Red Fourth Army.
Wang Hongkun was the commander of the Red Fourth Army before the Long March. However, this Red Fourth Army is not the Red Fourth Army in Zhu Mao, nor the Red Fourth Army in He Long, but the Red Fourth Army in the Hubei, Henan and Anhui Soviet areas. During his tenure as the brigade commander of the 385th Brigade of the Eighth Route Army129th Division, Wang Hongkan led his troops to cooperate sincerely with the 386th Brigade for many times, which dealt a heavy blow to the Japanese army. During the War of Liberation, Wang Hongkan was still the backbone general of Liu Deng's army, and participated in the Dabie Mountain Campaign, Huaihai Campaign and Crossing the River Campaign.
After the founding of New China, Wang Hongkun, deputy commander of Ren Haijun, was awarded the rank of general.
Chen Geng is one of the most famous figures in the Sixth Brigade of the Eighth Route Army, not only because his rank is general, but also because he once briefly acted as the commander of the Volunteers.
Chen Geng's experience is complicated and interesting. He once saved Chiang Kai-shek's life in the Eastern Expedition, but he was also arrested by the Kuomintang in Shanghai. He is not only the general of the Red Fourth Army, but also the head of the cadre regiment of the Central Red Army (Red 1 Army). It is not only the main commander of aiding Vietnam, but also the backbone of aiding South Korea. Dare to joke, but seeing Peng at the same time is like a mouse seeing a cat …
Interestingly, Chen Geng is a general and so is his brother-in-law! This man is Tan Zheng, a famous political general.
It's a pity that Chen Geng died too early. 196/kloc-0 died in Shanghai in March, at the age of 58. Chen Geng was the first general to die.
label
By counting and sorting out the brigade commanders of the Sixth Brigade of the Eighth Route Army, we will find that except for Chen Guang, these six revolutionaries died before being knighted in 1955, the other five were awarded senior ranks in 1955 and became the pillars of the country. Among them, Xu Haidong and Chen Geng are general ranks, ranking not low. One is the second and the other is the fourth. The other three are all founding generals.
What is special is Zhang Zongxun, who was originally a candidate for general. Later, the list of generals was "reduced" and he became a general.
And if Lu Dongsheng, the brigade commander of the 358 brigade, can live to 1955, the great probability is that he is a general. ...
