Founder of Zhengyi Middle School
Before she died, she was still chanting "school". Ju Simin's daughter remembered her father.

"Before my father died, we were asked to abide by the law, and then we tried to say the word school. He didn't finish the rest. His hand shook in the air for a long time and finally fell feebly. We know what he thinks. He is thinking about the Justice Middle School he founded himself. " On the afternoon of April 10, 2003, Professor Ju Wenjun, 84, the youngest daughter of Ju Simin, excitedly told reporters about her father's last words.

According to reports, Ju Simin 1872 was born in Rongcheng, Shandong province, and joined the league at the age of 20, 1906. After Wuchang Uprising, he participated in the planning of Shandong independence. After his failure, he decided to take education as his lifelong career. He has served as the president and chairman of Shandong Yuanjing School, Shandong No.1 Normal School and Zhengyi Middle School, and the president of the first rural normal school in Shandong Province. Zhengyi Middle School was founded when he was the president of Shandong No.1 Normal School. Yan Wenjun told reporters that at that time, his father's income was high, but his family life was very poor. Later, she learned that her father donated most of his income to Justice Middle School. As far as she can remember, before 17 years old, the family was homeless and didn't even have a fixed residence. They often stay with some friends of her father's in Qijia Village. It was not until 1936 that some students of her father saw that he was so embarrassed that they invested in building a residential building in Dongxiang County before they settled down.

"At that time, the teacher who was being hired did not ask about political beliefs and did not limit qualifications. As long as they are good at learning, they hire teachers and allow them to choose their own textbooks. Therefore, students in the same grade often have different textbooks, and the teachers in the school are also very different. There are old Democrats, former Qing Xiaolian and early members of the Communist Party of China (CPC). " Ju Wenjun said that his father's point of view is that there are no talents in the world, so he never advocates dismissing teachers and dismissing a student. At that time, Zhengyi always enrolled students later than other middle schools, so that those students who were eliminated by other schools could apply for the exam.

Ju Simin's patriotic activities to support students' progress. At that time, justice became the base of student movement and underground party organization, and played an important role in the early development of Shandong Party. 1925 During the May 30th massacre, Zhengyi teachers and students attended the 100,000-citizen rally organized by 13 in Jinan, and Ju Simin was elected as the president of the conference to deliver a speech. 1929 In April, when Wenjun Ju/kloc-0 was 0/0 years old, a political prisoner escaped from Jinan, and took one of them at home to help him escape.

1in the winter of 937, after the fall of Jinan, the puppet regime sent someone to ask Ju Simin to be the director of puppet Manchu education. He resolutely refused and never left home. He lived in poverty in his later years and died of poverty and illness in 1944. Although it was in the war years, Wenjun Ju clearly remembered that on the day of the funeral, Jinan citizens and alumni of Justice spontaneously lined up for several miles. Zhang Mosheng, a scholar, described Ju Simin as "a bit like Xu Teli of Hunan in the position of Shandong education".

After Ju Simin's death, in order to commemorate his outstanding contribution to Shandong's education, people proposed to rename Yan Gongci Street in front of Zhengyi Middle School as Simin Street, which was cancelled only after the Cultural Revolution. The former Simin Street has now become a part of Daming Lake Road.
