Shaanxi province has continuously strengthened the construction of primary medical institutions to ensure the basic medical needs of the people. However, the quality resources of obstetrics and gynecology and pediatrics in tertiary hospitals in the province are lacking, and the service capacity is insufficient. It is difficult for women and children to see a doctor and stay in hospital. In order to solve the medical problems of women and children in Shaanxi Province, Governor Zhao and Vice Governor of Shaanxi Province made the decision of "coordinating the high-quality resources of obstetrics and gynecology and pediatrics in the whole province, and relying on the Provincial Maternal and Child Health Hospital to build the Northwest Women and Children Hospital", and included this project in the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" of our province. Subsequently, the general office of the provincial government issued the minutes of the special meeting three times to clearly build the Northwest Women and Children Hospital.
