Shake off your clothes on a very high hill and wash the dirt off your feet in the long river of Wan Li. "A Thousand Li Yi thousands of feet Wan Li" comes from Zuo Si's epic poem in Wei and Jin Dynasties. This poem expresses the poet's great ambition and his attitude towards life that he doesn't want to go with the flow.

Ode to history

Zuo Si [Wei Jin]

The sky is bright and comfortable, and the spirit shines in China.

In the purple palace of Zhufu, flying like Yunfu.

In halls, all princes are nobles.

Since you are not a dragon climber, what is swimming?

When you are brown, you will follow the leader.

Trembling clothes, Wan Li flow.

Zuo Si was a famous writer in the Western Jin Dynasty, and his "Sandu Fu" was highly praised at that time, resulting in the saying that "Luoyang paper is expensive". Eight Poems of Ode to an Epic was generally written shortly after Zuo Si entered Luoyang and before the Jin Dynasty destroyed Wu, which showed the poet's desire to cut off vulgar thoughts, retire to the countryside and lead a totally clean life.
