In ancient times, people who were called heroes must have the moral integrity to defeat others, and there is a measure that ordinary people's nature can't stand. Ordinary people are insulted, and it is not worth being brave to draw their swords and stand up and fight. There is a truly brave person in the world who doesn't panic, abuse or get angry when encountering unexpected situations. Why can it be like this? Because he is ambitious and ambitious.

Zhang Liangyou is more talented than anyone else in the world. He didn't have the foresight like Yi Yin and Jiang Shang, but took the advice of Jing Ke and Nie Zheng to assassinate him. Fortunately, he didn't die. This must be the place where the old man on the bridge deeply feels sorry for him. So the old man deliberately humiliated him with arrogant attitude and rude words. If he can stand it, he can achieve great things with it. So at last the old man said, "This young man can be educated. 」

At war with Zheng, he took off his coat, was naked, and led a sheep to meet him. Zhuang Wang said: "The monarch can be humble to others and wronged himself, and he will certainly gain the trust and effectiveness of his own people." Give up the attack on Zheng. Gou Jian, the King of Yue, was in trouble in Huiji. He went to the state of Wu as a slave and never slackened off for several years. Besides, ordinary people have the desire to retaliate against others, but they can't be servants.

The old man thinks that Sean has more than enough intelligence, but he is worried that his measurement is not enough. Therefore, he deeply frustrated the strong and fierce temper of his young people, enabling him to endure small grievances and achieve great strategies. Why do you say that? The friendship between the old man and Sean goes back to ancient times. They didn't live a lifetime, but they suddenly met in the country, but they made Sean a slave. Sean nature didn't feel weird. Qin Shihuang naturally couldn't scare him, and Xiang Yu couldn't make him angry.

Look at the reasons why Emperor Gaozu succeeded and Xiang Yu failed. One can endure and the other can't. Xiang Yu couldn't bear it, so he won every battle, so he used the blade casually (he didn't know how to cherish and save his strength). Emperor Gaozu can endure and maintain a complete blade (well maintaining his own elite strength and waiting for the decline of the other side), which is taught by Zhang Liangjiao. When Han Xin, Emperor of Huaiyin, attacked the State of Qi and wanted to stand on his own feet as king, Gao-zu flew into a rage, showing his tone and face. From this we can see that he still has a strong unbearable endurance. If he is not Sean, who can help him?

Sima Qian had guessed that Sean's appearance must be burly, but he looked like a woman, which was out of proportion to his ambition and measurement. Ah! This is also the reason why Sean became Sean (moral: It is precisely because of Sean's tolerance that although he looks like a woman, he can achieve great things, far exceeding a burly person)!

Original text:

The so-called heroes of the ancients must have extraordinary virtues, and human feelings cannot be ninjas. When people see humiliation, they draw their swords and fight. This is not brave. There are brave people in the world, but you are not surprised when you face them. Add without anger; This is a great hostage, and its ambition is far away.

Cut Zheng, Zheng Bo led the sheep to meet him naked. King Zhuang said, "If a king can be a servant, he will be able to trust his people." Then give up. Gou Jian was trapped in Huiji, but my concubine was in Wu, and she worked tirelessly for three years. Moreover, my husband has the ambition to be a reporter and can't be a servant. This is a man's strength. The old man thought that the ovaries were more than enough, but he was worried about the lack of measurement, which deeply shattered his youthful spirit and made him endure a little anger and make a big plan. What is this? Unless you have a lifetime, meet between fields and be killed by a servant and concubine. But don't blame those who are oily. This can't surprise Qin Huang, but you can't be angry.

Guanfu Gaozu won, and Ji Xiang lost, just between forbearance and forbearance. Ji Xiang couldn't stand it, so he won every battle and used its front lightly. High-impedance forbearing it, holding its whole front and waiting for it, this ovary teaches it. Huaiyin broke his desire to be king, and Gao Zu was angry, which was seen in his words; From this perspective, there is also a powerful and unbearable spirit, and it is not the ovary! Tai Shigong thinks that the ovary is large and magnificent, but it looks like a woman, so it is not ambitious. Alas, this is why it is an ovary!

This article comes from Su Shi's Hou Lun in the Northern Song Dynasty.

Extended data writing background:

Hou Lun is an essay by Su Shi, a writer in the Northern Song Dynasty. Taking Zhang Shoushu's help to unify Liu Bang in Historical Records as an example, this paper demonstrates the importance of the strategy of "forbearing small anger" and "nurturing the whole front and governing it". The style of writing is full of twists and turns, and the writing is eloquent and full of momentum.

In the fifth year of Song Renzong Jiayou, Su Shi served as the main book of Yiyang West in Henan Province in Fuchang County, Henan Province. Su Shi didn't go to his post, and was recommended by Ouyang Xiu and Yang Yi to live in Huaiyuan Post and prepare for the exam carefully. Before the exam, Su Shi published Twenty-five Poems of Jin Ce and Twenty-five Poems of Jin Lun by Yang Yi and others. Waiting for Hou Lun is one of Jin Lun.

In order to strengthen the persuasiveness, the third paragraph quotes history as evidence and restates the meaning of the previous paragraph. In this paper, firstly, Zheng Bo can endure without fighting to retreat from the enemy, and Gou Jian can endure and finally destroy Wu, so as to see the extreme importance of patience and explain why the old man should "try". It also summarizes the scene that the old man "deeply folded" Sean, which proves that his actions are indeed an inspection and test for Sean.

The former is based on motivation, while the latter is based on facts. The purpose of the action is to "make him endure small anger and make great plans" (to paraphrase the meaning of The Analects of Wei Linggong, that is, the so-called "sage is vigilant"). Later, the result was that Sean reached the state of "many dissenters should not be surprised and Ji Xiang should not be angry".

About the author:

Su Shi (1037 65438+10.8-18.24), whose real names are Zi Zhan and He Zhong, also known as Tieguan Taoist, Dongpo lay man, Su Dongpo and Su Xian, Han nationality, Meishan, Meizhou (Meishan, Sichuan)

In the second year of Jiayou (1057), Su Shi was a scholar. Song Shenzong worked in Fengxiang, Hangzhou, Mizhou, Xuzhou and Huzhou. In the third year of Yuanfeng (1080), he was demoted to be the permanent assistant ambassador of Huangzhou because of Wutai poetry case. After Song Zhezong acceded to the throne, he served as a bachelor of Hanlin, a bachelor of reading and a minister of rites, and was well known in Hangzhou, Yingzhou, Yangzhou and Dingzhou. In his later years, he was exiled to Huizhou and Danzhou because of the ruling of the New Party. Song Huizong was granted amnesty and returned to the north, where he died. Song Gaozong posthumously awarded a surname, posthumous title "article".

With Ouyang Xiu's repeated praise, Su Shi became famous for a while. Every time he publishes a new book, it will spread all over Beijing immediately. Just as the father and son became famous in Beijing and were about to show their talents, the bad news of Su Shi's mother's death suddenly came. The two brothers went home with their father to attend the funeral. In October of the 4th year of Jiayou (1059), he returned to Beijing after his funeral. In the sixth year of Jiayou (106 1 year), Su Shi took the Chinese secondary school exam, which is usually called the "three-year Beijing Examination", and got the third grade of "the first in a hundred years", and was awarded the qualification of judging and signing books by judges in Fengxiang Prefecture of Dali. Four years later, he returned to North Korea and was sentenced to Wen Gu College.

In the third year of Zhiping (1066), Su Xun died of illness, and Su Shi and Su Zhe returned to their hometowns with coffins, and they were in mourning for three years. Three years later, Su Shi returned to Korea. At this time, Wang Anshi's political reform, which shook the ruling and opposition parties, began. Many of Su Shi's teachers and friends, including Ouyang Xiu, who admired him at the beginning, were forced to leave Beijing because they opposed the new law and disagreed with the new prime minister Wang Anshi. The old rain in the ruling and opposition parties faded away, and what Su Shi saw in his eyes was no longer the "peaceful and prosperous times" he saw at the age of twenty.

The great blow of Wutai poetry case became the turning point of Su Shi's life. The new party insisted on killing Su Shi, and the ruling and opposition parties also launched rescue activities. Not only many elders who share the same political views with Su Shi wrote articles one after another, but even some reformists also advised Zongshen not to kill Su Shi.

Wang Anshi retired to Jinling at that time, and also wrote: "How about killing talents with saints?" Thanks to everyone's efforts, this poem case was judged by Wang Anshi, and Su Shi was given a lighter sentence, demoted to Huangzhou (now Huanggang, Hubei) as an assistant envoy, "placed in this state" and monitored by local officials. Su Shi was imprisoned 103 days and was killed. Thanks to Song Taizu's national policy of not killing Zhao Kuangyin literati, he dodged a bullet.
