Teacher Li Youyan: This paper holds that the time when the ethnic contradiction between China and Japan rose to the main contradiction was the North China Incident in 1935. As for when the national contradiction between China and Japan rose to be the main contradiction in the 1930s, there has been controversy in the history circle, and there is no conclusion at present.
