Step 1: On how to establish a local area network, firstly, make several network lines according to the physical location and distance, and ensure the connectivity of the network lines through testing. In terms of making network cables, there are two wiring methods. One is parallel connection mode, which is suitable for the interconnection of different types of equipment. The other is cross wiring, which is suitable for interconnection between devices of the same type. Now most devices can recognize parallel and cross wiring modes.
The second step is to connect the LAN port of the hub or router with the interface of the computer network card with a network cable. Especially for routers, in order to form a LAN, it is necessary to ensure that all LAN interfaces are connected to the computer network card.
Step 3: Make sure that the network card driver of each computer is installed normally. Test method: Open the Run dialog box and enter the command "ping 127.0.0. 1 -t". The following interface prompts appear, indicating that the installation is normal. Otherwise, download the latest driver and reinstall it.
The fourth step is to set the IP address of each computer. Generally speaking, for LAN users, the recommended range of IP address is "192.168.1.65438" to "192. 1.254". IP address setting method: Right-click local connection, enter the local connection properties dialog box, double-click Internet protocol version 4(Tcp/IP), open the setting dialog box, and enter the IP address and subnet mask.
Step 5, after the IP setting of each computer is completed, the interoperability test between each computer is carried out. Test method: Open the "Run" dialog box, and use the "ping192.168.1.x" command on any computer to test (x represents the last group of numbers of any computing mechanism IP). If the following interface appears, the network is connected. At this point, the whole LAN was built.
Step 6: If the number of computers in the LAN is more than the number of hubs or router interfaces, you can connect multiple hubs or routers to expand the network scope. Specifically, the network can be extended by connecting hubs or routers through LAN ports. The only thing to note is that the WAN port of the router should not be used as an interface to expand the network, but used to connect ADSL or broadband.
