1968 Graduated from Department of International Politics, Fudan University (undergraduate). After graduation, he was assigned to the No.1 14 Army of Kunming Military Region for labor training. 1970 officially enlisted and served until1June 978. He used to be an education officer of the Propaganda Department of the Political Department of the 14th Army and a political teacher of the Military and Political Cadre School in Kunming Military Region. 1July 1978 transferred to Wuhan Staff Medical College as a political teacher. 1979 to 1982, Master of Philosophy, China, Wuhan University. After graduation, Mr. Xiao Hanming was transferred to the China Philosophy Teaching and Research Section of the Philosophy Department of Wuhan University.
1989 was named associate professor, 1995 was named professor, and 1997 was hired as doctoral supervisor; 1995 was appointed as the vice president of China Zhouyi Society, and 1999 was employed as an adjunct professor at Zhouyi and China Ancient Philosophy Research Center of Shandong University. Retired in February 2006. Mr. Xiao Hanming is a consultant of academic research institutions and groups such as National College of Wuhan University and Zhouyi Society of Hubei Province, and he is one of the founders of Zhouyi Society of Hubei Province. Long-term academic member of Oriental International Institute of Yi Studies.

Mr. Xiao Hanming's life is empty-minded, indifferent to fame and fortune, sincere and kind, modest and upright, brave and full of legend, and he has won the high respect and sincere love of colleagues, colleagues at home and abroad, friends and young students. Together with Mr. Tang Mingbang, he founded the Zhouyi School in Luojia. His master students and postdoctoral students studied the Book of Changes, including Xiao, Xiao,,, Wen Yongning, Chen Renren, Tang Lin, Zheng,, Mei Zhensheng, Sun Jinsong, Liu Tisheng, Bai Jingshun (Japan) and Song Sukai.
