National first-class actor, member of Henan Branch of Chinese Dramatists Association, member of Luoyang Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and main actor of Luoyang Henan Opera Troupe. Zhao Xiaomei was born in Liyuan family and was admitted to Luoyang Opera School on 1960. 1965 After graduation, he was assigned to work in Luoyang Henan Opera Troupe, mainly focusing on Hua Dan and Guimendan, and also performing martial arts, handsome and junior students.
He starred in Yang Jinhua's Seizing India, Xie Yaohuan, Qin Xuemei, Li Huiniang, Peach Blossom Temple, Luoyang Bridge, Pan Jinlian and modern plays Silver Line and Red Heart. 1973 participated in the modern drama performance in Henan province for the first time, and was praised as "one of the five golden flowers" by the audience of Luoyang Henan Opera Troupe. 1985, her starring "Easy to Marry Sister" and "Peach Blossom Temple" were recorded as cassette tapes by Shanghai Branch of China Recording Society, which were distributed nationwide and exported to some countries in Southeast Asia.
