According to the "Sad Hua Jing", before the infinite robbery of Guanyin, when Amitabha was the wheel saint king, Guanyin Bodhisattva was the first king, named "Buyou". He made a big wish, gave birth to great compassion, broke the suffering and troubles of all sentient beings, and let all sentient beings enjoy peace. Therefore, the Tathagata named him Guanyin.
