Fu Shan, formerly known as Xu Shu, liked fencing in Ren Xia when he was young, and later turned to study. Because of the war in the Central Plains, he lived in Jingzhou and made friends with Zhuge Liang, Si Mahui and Pang Tong. After Xu Shu played for Liu Bei, he also recommended Zhuge Liang. In the battle of Nagsaka, Xu Shu's mother was captured by Cao Jun, so Xu Shu defected to Cao Cao in the north and became the commander-in-chief from Wei Guan to You Wei.
According to the description in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Xu Shu's surname was Fu earlier, so he was called Xu Shu because he was the son of a single family.
