In addition, 7 18 Institute also has technologies such as hydrogen production from methanol, hydrogen extraction from hydrogen-rich tail gas and hydrogen production from natural coal, all of which produce a large amount of hydrogen, and the purity of hydrogen exceeds five nines.

In addition to hydrogen production technology, 7 18 Institute is also committed to hydrogen production from renewable energy.

2015,718 participated in the demonstration project of comprehensive utilization of hydrogen production by wind power in Guyuan, Hebei Province, and was responsible for technical support and hydrogen storage system. The project of high-efficiency electrolytic hydrogen production equipment with wide power fluctuation organically combines wind power generation technology with electrolytic hydrogen production technology. By studying the influence of wind power fluctuation on the capacity performance of electrolytic hydrogen production, an efficient electrolytic hydrogen production equipment with power fluctuation was developed, so that the tolerance of electrolytic hydrogen production equipment to wind power fluctuation reached 0- 100%. 2017,718 participated in the research and development and demonstration of 863 wind power coupled hydrogen storage fuel cell power generation microgrid system to study the influence of power fluctuation on hydrogen production by electrolysis of water; In the same year, 7 18 Institute participated in the Zhangjiakou renewable energy hydrogen production project of Yihuatong Holding Company, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Yihuatong in the field of hydrogen energy, and provided 2,000 cubic meters/hour electrolyzed water hydrogen production equipment for the project.

In order to explore how to solve the two key factors that restrict hydrogen production from electrolytic water and renewable energy, 7 18 Institute is also committed to developing alkaline water electrolysis technology and pure water electrolysis technology. It is understood that 7 18 Institute has planned the technical objectives of related research and development, and it is expected to achieve the objectives in the first half of 2020 at the latest. Li Junhua, director of 7 18 Institute, said that once the goal is achieved, the cost of the whole system will be reduced by more than 20% and the energy consumption will be reduced by more than 5%. In the field of hydrogen refueling stations, 7 18 Institute participated in the design and construction of several hydrogen refueling stations, including fixed hydrogen refueling stations-for example, supplying core equipment to assist the construction of Yutong Foshan hydrogen refueling station; Provide mobile and skid-mounted hydrogenation station devices, such as large and medium-sized hydrogenation equipment with filling pressure of 35Mpa and filling capacity of 200- 1000kg/ day. In 20 18, 7 18 also cooperated with CRRC Tangshan Company to participate in the development project of the world's first fuel cell track locomotive.

In the field of on-board hydrogen system, the relevant design, system development and equipment of on-board hydrogen system of No.718 have been developed, and it has become the supplier of high-voltage on-board vehicle systems in the field of fuel trams in China.
