What is the pen name used for?
A pen name is a writer's choice and fate. The pen name strongly expresses or implies the will, personality and preference of the destined person and the user.

A stage name generally refers to a special name taken by people in the performing arts for some reason to express their intentions, expertise, reference or commemoration of something that has a great influence on them.

Pen name and real name are different. Real name is a person's real name, including family symbols (surnames) and names given by parents. The pen name does not need to indicate the symbol of family, nor does it need the consent of others. If my real name is my parents' choice and destiny, then my pen name is my choice and destiny. Therefore, the pen name strongly expresses or implies the will, personality and preference of the predestiner and the user.

The appearance of pen names in China should be a modern thing. Jin Ping Mei, a novel published in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, was signed by Lan. This "Lan Shaosheng" is neither the author's name, nor the author's shop name or other departments. It should be said that it is the pen name of the author. If it is a pen name, it is probably the earliest pen name in China. Nie Haihua, a novel published in the late Qing Dynasty (1905), was originally "initiated by freedom-loving people and edited by the sick man of East Asia", and later changed to "written by Ceng Pu". Among them, "Free Lover" is the pseudonym of Jin Songcen and "Sick Man of East Asia" is the pseudonym of Ceng Pu. In addition, The Travels of Lao Can is entitled Hong Du Bai Lian, which should also be the pseudonym of Liu Ying. The above can be said to be the earliest batch of pen names in China.

The May 4th New Literature Movement produced a large number of modern writers and poets. Most of these writers and poets use pen names when publishing their literary works. For example:

Lu Xun, formerly known as Zhou Shuren, was a talented man.

Guo Moruo, formerly known as Guo Kaizhen, is a military commander. Other pen names include Guo, Mai Ang, Gao Ruhong and Yi Kan.

Mao Dun, formerly known as Shen Dehong, formerly known as Yan Bing. There are dozens of other pen names. Such as: Zhu Xuan, Langshang, Fangpo, Zhijing, Unaged, Unnamed, Poetic Dream, etc. Ba Jin, formerly known as Li Yaotang, was named Mogan. Zhang Henshui, whose real name is Zhang Xinyuan. Its pen name comes from the words of Huang Lee, Li Houzhu in the Southern Tang Dynasty, but it cries at night): "The flowers in the forest withered in spring, and they hurried by, but the cold rain came helplessly, and the evening breeze came. Colorful tears make people intoxicated. When will it be heavy? Naturally, people hate water when they grow up! "

5. Take transliteration of Chinese characters with foreign names as pen names:

Isababy, formerly known as Guo Anren. "Isababy" is a foreign girl Guo Anren knew when she was a child. The girl died young, and Guo Anren often missed their friendship, so he took the girl's transliteration Chinese character "Lini" as his pen name.

6. A pseudonym with a broken surname:

Cao Yu, formerly known as Wan Jiabao. The traditional Chinese character of Wan is Wan, that is, the word "Yu" under "Mi" (grass prefix). The homonym of "grass" is "Cao", and Cao is among the hundreds of surnames; Cao Yu took his surname as his pen name.

A stage name generally refers to a special name taken by people in the performing arts for some reason to express their intentions, expertise, reference or commemoration of something that has a great influence on them. For example, the actor of the Monkey King in the TV series The Journey to the West, whose father Zhang came on stage at the age of 6, was called "six-year-old boy"; Zhang Jinlai is called a "six-year-old boy" because he is a student of his father. Another example is Chen Bailing, a rising star of Henan Opera, who is the granddaughter of Chang Xiangyu, a famous Henan Opera artist. In order to thank grandma for her cultivation, she took another name "Yu Xiang Xiao". "Six-year-old boy", "Six-year-old boy" and "Yu Xiang Xiao" mentioned above are all stage names.

The origin of stage names is very early, not only modern. According to research, as early as the Han Dynasty, there was a woman named Zhao who was good at dancing and as light as a swallow, and her stage name was "Zhao". Due to the great influence of the stage name, the real name is unknown. According to Gu's Records of the Day, there were some people in ancient times, such as Huang Zanchu, Yun, New Mirror Mill and Luo Yiqing, all of whom were handed down by stage names. In the most famous novel A Dream of Red Mansions, Jiang Yuhan, the husband of Jia Baoyu's maid, turned out to be a singer with the stage name "Guan Qi". In addition, there are several singing girls in the book. Their roles are Lingguan, Civil Servant, Guan Yu, Fangguan, Ruiguan, Lotus Root Officer, Kwai Officer, Yao Officer. In fact, these are not their original names, but stage names.

People in the entertainment circle like to choose stage names best. This name, like the nickname mentioned above, is a part of China people's names. The origins of various stage names are different, and almost every stage name contains a vivid story. For example, during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, Li Cunyuan in the late Tang Dynasty not only liked acting, but also gave himself a stage name "Li Tianxia". It is said that once he performed on the same stage with a man named Jing Xinmo, and he never forgot his stage name of "Li Tianxia" twice. In modern times, Zhang Yingjie, a Peking Opera actor who is good at Song Wu Opera, worships Peking Opera master Tan Xinpei and his son at the early stage of his career. He imitated their stage names "Tan called Tian" and "Xiao called Tian" and named them "Xiao called Tian". Later, because of being laughed at, he simply changed his name to "Gai Jiaotian" to show that he would surpass Tan and his son. After years of hard training and exploration, he finally succeeded in his career and became a well-known Peking Opera performance artist, known as "Song Wu in the South of the Yangtze River" (he often performed on the Peking Opera stage in the South of the Yangtze River). It can be seen that a stage name is still the driving force for people to progress.

Some of the stage names of modern people are taken by themselves, others, teachers and audiences. Different situations make different people. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, there was a magistrate named Dejin, who was usually informal, and was ridiculed by a man named Wang, saying that he was not cut out to be an official and was only suitable for acting. Later, I really lost my official position and switched to studying drama. In order not to forget Wang's ridicule and inspire himself, he took a stage name of "Wang Xiaoyi" and made a play with this stage name, and finally became a school of his own and became famous in Shanghai. Niu Cao De, a Henan Opera actor, was originally named Niu Guo Jun. He was originally acting in Kaifeng, the capital of Henan Province, specializing in clowns. Because his name is very inconsistent with his occupation, someone suggested that he say, "Your surname is Niu, just like Hou (monkey), Yu (fish) and Zhu (pig). Hou is called Hou Deshan, Yu is called Yu Deshui, and Zhu is called Zhu. These are good names: monkeys can climb mountains, fish can coexist with water, and pigs can get fat from bran (health). Your surname is Niu. Like cattle, you can use grass to develop your strengths. Why not call it' Niu Cao De'? " As soon as he heard this, he used the stage name "Niu Cao De" from now on.

Before liberation, there was a "Fu Liancheng" class in Beijing to train Peking Opera actors. The people who come out of this class are all stage names arranged in words. These words are Fu, Cai, Lian, Wang, Shi, Yuan and Yun, and each group of students uses one of them in turn. People who use these words, such as Ma Fulu and Tan, are all rich people, Ma and Liu Lianrong are related, and both are rich people. These names are not their original real names, but stage names obtained after humanities classes. Artists are the stars in the eyes of the audience, and the audience sometimes gives them a suitable stage name according to their style. For example, Qi Caifen, an actor of Shanxi Bangzi, was named "Floating on the Water", Deng Hongshan, an actor of Shandong Wuyin Opera, was named "Fresh Cherry", Kuang Jianlian, an actor of Guangdong Cantonese Opera, was named "Xin Nuhong", an actor of Hubei Han Opera was named "Little Peony", an actor of Henan Yue Opera was named "Living Zhuge" and an actor of Henan Opera was named "Luoyang Peony". Beijing Peking Opera actor Ye Shenglan's stage name is "Living Zhou Yu", Shaanxi Shaanxi Shaanxi Opera actor Wang Bingzhong's stage name is "Living Zhao Yun", and so on. These stage names are all given by the audience. In addition, for example, the stage name of Weng Qianyu, a film singer living in Japan, was given by enthusiastic Japanese audiences.

The phenomenon of contemporary people taking stage names exists not only in the field of drama, but also in the art circles such as film, television, music, painting and calligraphy. For example, painter Li Ying's stage name is Yang, comedian Chang Baolong's stage name is Xiao Mushroom, acrobat's stage name is Hong, movie actor's stage name is Xia Meng, and TV presenter Huang's stage name is A Yuan. As for these stage names, they already have the nature of pen names or pseudonyms, which should be another matter.

As for the landlord's concern that the pen name doesn't know how to collect the remuneration, I'll give you a trick: attach another page to the back of your article, with your resume and detailed address. On the one hand, you don't have to worry about not receiving the manuscript fee, on the other hand, it is important to let the editor know about you and add some weight to the adoption of your manuscript!
