The history of Mu Rongchui
Mu Rongchui (June 2, 326-396), the later emperor of Yancheng, was originally named Murong Ba, whose name was Dao Ye, and his nickname was Aaron. He was a Xianbei native of Changli, Ji Cheng (now Yixian, Liaoning). After sixteen countries, Yan founded the monarch. The fifth son of the former Yan Kaihua emperor Murong Mu. Yan Qian made many exploits, and Huan Wen in the Eastern Jin Dynasty repelled the Northern Expeditionary Army. However, he was forced to withdraw from the former Qin Dynasty because he was excluded by the ruling Murong family, but he was very popular with the former Qin monarch Fu Jian. After the Battle of Feishui, Mu Rongchui took the opportunity to rebuild Yan State, set up Houyan, and then destroyed Xiyan, which was also built by Murong. After the defeat of the Battle of Shenhe North, he led the army to attack the Northern Wei Dynasty again. During this period, he was seriously ill and died when he retired.

all one's life

Prejudice from the beginning

Murong Ba was favored by his father, even surpassing his brother Murong Jun, who was a prince, so Murong Jun was indignant. In the eighth year of Xiankang (342), Murong Mu attacked Goguryeo, with Murong Ba and Murong Han as the vanguard, and finally captured the capital of Goguryeo (now Ji 'an West, Jilin). In the second year of Jianyuan (344), Murong Mu attacked Yuwen, with Murong Han as the commander in chief, and Murong Ba, Murong Jun, Murong Ke and Mu Yugen were ordered to attack in three ways. At that time, Yu Yi (note1), a noble faction of Yidou, led the elite soldiers to resist. Murong Han decided to destroy the morale of Yuwen Department by defeating Yu Yi, so that Yuwen Department collapsed, so he took the initiative to confront Yu Yi personally. MuRongBa invited him to attack and defeated Yu Yi with Murong Han. Yuwenbing really collapsed after the war, and Yuwen died in Mobei, successfully destroying Yuwen. MuRongBa used this merit to seal the cities and towns. In the first year of Yonghe (345), Deng Heng, a general of the late Zhao Dynasty, led tens of thousands of troops to Le 'an (now northeast of Laoting County, Hebei Province) in order to annex Yan Qian. Murong Mian took Murong as the overlord and General Pingdi as the overlord, and stationed troops in the middle of the river (now northwest of Jinzhou, Liaoning). Deng Heng dared not attack because he was afraid of Mr. Murong, a bully.

Help attack houzhao

In the fourth year of Yonghe (348), Murong Mu died, and Murong Jun succeeded the prince. Because Mu Rongchui once fell off his horse and broke his teeth, he changed his name to "Murong" and later changed his name to Mu Rongchui. The following year, Zhao Gaozu Shi Hu died, and China was in chaos because of hundred schools of thought's contention. So he wrote to Murong Jun and suggested sending troops to attack Zhao. Murong Chujun refused to accept Murong Mu's new death, but Mu Rongchui went to the capital Liuzhou (now Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province) to persuade Murong Jun, and even invited himself to lead the troops to intimidate Deng Heng. With the support of Feng Yi and others, Mu Rongchui thought that the vanguard and the blade were the generals, and selected more than 200,000 soldiers to attack Zhao.

In February of the 6th year of Yonghe (350), Murong Jun ordered Mu Rongchui to lead 20,000 soldiers to attack Zhao via Xundong Road and Tuhai River, and sent Yuming as the West Road to lead the Central Army, and the soldiers were divided into three ways to attack Zhao. From Mu Rongchui to Sanchong (now Maoshishan, Funing County, Hebei Province), Deng Heng was frightened, burned the warehouse and fled, surrendering to Ji Cheng (now Beijing). After Mu Rongchui arrived, he collected the food of all the soldiers in Le 'an County and Beiping County, and attacked Ji Cheng with Murong Jun.. In March, Yan Jun captured Ji Cheng, and Mu Rongchui prevented Murong Jun from making a foot soldier behind the pit. Soon after, Murong Jun led an army to attack Deng Heng. After arriving (now southwest of Qingyuan County, Hebei Province), Zhao led thousands of people to attack at night and broke the curtain. Mu Rongchui led more than ten people to fight back, which contained Lu Bozao's attack. Later, Mu Yugen and others led the troops to defeat Lu Bozao and successfully repelled the attack.

[Editor] Jealous of my brother

In the first year of Yuanxi (352), Murong Jun proclaimed himself emperor and served as assistant minister of Huangmen. Later, he moved General Anton and Jizhou secretariat to Changshan Town. In the third year of Yuan Dynasty (354), Mu Rongchui was named King of Wu and moved to Xindu (now Jixian County, Hebei Province). Later, General Zhong was called, and the general was forbidden to stay in Taiwan from the right and transfer to Longcheng Town. However, due to Mu Rongchui's popularity in the local area, he was called back by Murong Jun, and later he was reinstated as a general of the government army. In the first year of Shouyi (357), he and the general Murong Qian of Zhong Jun led the army to defeat [[Chile]].

In the second year of Guangshou (358), Nie Hao, a regular servant, learned that Murong Jun didn't like it, and because his eldest brother and Hun Queen were dissatisfied with his wife Duan, he lied that Duan and Wu Guodian had instructed witchcraft with the intention of being implicated. Duan would rather die than surrender. Although Mu Rongchui eventually died in prison, he had nothing to do with it. Later, Mu Rongchui served as the general of Zhendong, the secretariat of Pingzhou and Liaodong Town.

Seize Luoyang

In the first year of Jianxi (360), Murong Jun died and Prince Murong Yong succeeded to the throne. Mu Rongchui was appointed Governor of Henan, General Cheung Nam, Shepherd of Yanzhou, Secretariat of Jingzhou, and took care of a Nanman captain and Liangzhen [6]. In the sixth year of Jianxi (365), Mu Rongchui and Murong Ke jointly attacked Luoyang (now Luoyang City, Henan Province) controlled by the Eastern Jin Dynasty, defeated and captured Jin General Jin Shen, captured Luoyang, and moved back to the viceroy, Jingyangluo, Yan Xu, Yu Yong, Yiliang, the military of the ten countries of Qin, the general of the Southern Expedition, Jingzhou Pastoral and Luyang Town.

Before he died in the eighth year of Jianxi (367), Taizai Murong Ke pointed out to Le 'an Wang Murong Zang that he should be a fu, and recommended Murong Yong to succeed after death, leaving all political affairs to him. Although Mr. Murong Zang told Mr. Murong, the class teacher, what Mr. Murong said, he didn't do what Mr. Murong said. He thought fu was transferred to general, general and general.

Battle of square head

In the 10th year of Jianxi (369), in April, Huan Wen, a great official of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, made a northern expedition, but people could not resist Jin Jun and moved to Fangtou (now Xunxian County, Henan Province) in July. At that time, Murong Yong and Murong Ping were frightened and wanted to take refuge in their old capital, Liuzhou. Mu Rongchui then invited him to play. Murong Yong then asked him to succeed Murong Zang as the prefect of Nanjun County, led Murong De and other 50,000 soldiers to war, and invited Huang Men Assistant Minister Feng Fu, Situ Zuo Changshi and Shang to learn to join the army. At that time, Huan Wen took Duan Si as a guide and learned that he was at war with the Jin army, but Duan Si was captured alive. Then Huan Wen sent Li Shu to attack, and he was defeated by Siroten. Li Shu died, and the morale of the Jin army declined. At the same time, Murong De and others went to Shimen to stop 8 Jin Army from opening up grain transportation, and Li Yong, the secretariat of Yuzhou, broke the route for 8 Jin Army. Huan Wen was defeated in many wars and lacked food, and finally retreated by land in September. At that time, the generals planned to pursue immediately, but Mu Rongchui had to be on strict alert and patrol with elite troops as 8 Jin J retreated ahead of schedule, so he planned to pursue again in the future, only when 8 Jin J took the pursuers to speed up the March and didn't attack until the war broke out. Mu Rongchui followed 8,000 cavalry and found that Huan Wen really accelerated after losing sight of the pursuer. A few days later, Mu Rongchui ordered the attack and the cavalry accelerated. Yu Xiangyi (now west of Suixian County, Henan Province) chased Jin Jun and cooperated with Murong De to ambush Huan Wen in Xiangyi, so he defeated Jin Jun and killed 30,000 people. Huan Wen had to pick up the remains and withdraw south.

Pre-Qin

Fang Tou gained great fame after his victory, but it made Murong's comments even more jealous of him. In Mu Rongchui, it is not allowed to ask the generals who have made meritorious deeds to be rewarded, so the two men argued with each other in court, which further deepened their hatred. At that time, the Queen Mother, the Queen of Kezu Soul, hated Mu Rongchui, so she and Murong Ping plotted to get rid of him. Murong Kai, Murong Ke's son, and Lan Jian, Mu Rongchui's uncle, learned of this conspiracy and suggested that Mu Rongchui take the initiative to get rid of Murong Zang and Mu Rongchui. However, Mu Rongchui said that he would rather go abroad than eat each other. Prince Murong Ling suggested that Mu Rongchui go north to Longcheng and apologized to Murong Yong, hoping to recall Murong Yong. Even if you don't, you can still stick to protecting yourself locally. Mu Rongchui complied, and in the same year 1 1 month, he was invited to go hunting in Zeinland and went to Longcheng incognito. But when he arrived in Handan (now Handan, Hebei Province), his little son Murong Lin, who had always been unloved, fled back to Yecheng (now Linzhang West, Hebei Province) to report his father's intentions, so most of the people who followed Mu Rongchui fled, and Murong Qiang was also ordered to hunt down Mu Rongchui. In Fanyang (now Zhuoxian County, Hebei Province), Murong Qiang caught up with Mu Rongchui, but because of Murong Ling's personal patrol, Murong Qiang dared not move forward. After sunset, Murong Ling said that the original plan was no longer feasible and suggested going to Qianqin. Mu Rongchui was poor and had to accept it, so he gave up his horse to avoid being followed, quietly returned to Yecheng and hid in Yuan Xian Mausoleum. Soon, hundreds of hunters gathered from all directions where they were. Mu Rongchui and others can't beat them, but they have nowhere to run and there is nothing they can do. At this moment, the hunter's falcon flew over at the same time, and the hunter dispersed, so Mu Rongchui killed the white horse and made an oath with his entourage. At that time, Murong Ling suggested that he return to Yecheng to attack and kill Murong, and replace it with Mu Rongchui's fame and join Fu Ting. But because of this danger, it was rejected, so he and his wife Duan, Murong Ling, Murong Bao, Murong Nong, Murong Kai, and others went west to the former Qin Dynasty. When Fu Jian, the former king of Qin, learned that Mu Rongchui was coming to Ben, he was very happy and went to meet him in person. He regards Mu Rongchui as a champion general and respects his guests.

In the following year, he entered the Qin Dynasty, and the former Qin Dynasty destroyed the former Yan, and entered Jing, where he was named the state hou. In the 18th year of Jianyuan (382), Fu Jian insisted on attacking the Eastern Jin Dynasty, but Fu Rong, Shi Yue, Fu Hong and others all opposed it, while Mu Rongchui said, "The weak were swallowed up by the strong, while the small were swallowed up by the big. This is natural and not difficult to understand. With your majesty's respect, you have made great achievements overseas. How can millions of guards, people like Han Xin and Jin, a small country in the south of the Yangtze River, disobey the king's orders and leave them to future generations? The Book of Songs says: "If there are many people who plan, they will not succeed. "Your majesty's decision is enough, why ask all the courtiers! Emperor Wu of Jin suppressed Wu Dong, but only a few courtiers Zhang Hua and Du Yu supported him. If he listens to the mainstream opinions of courtiers, how can he achieve the great cause of reunification! Fu Jian was overjoyed, and even said, "Only you can pacify the world with me. "In May of the 19th year of Jianyuan (383), Jingzhou in the Eastern Jin Dynasty was the secretariat of Huan Chong's Northern Expedition, leading the attack on Xiangyang (now Xiangyang City, Hubei Province), and Mu Rongchui and Fu Rui led the troops to save it. Fu Rui took Mu Rongchui as the pioneer and went to Mianshui. In the evening, Mu Rongchui ordered the soldiers to tie ten torches to the branches, which made Huan Chong think that the reinforcements were very powerful and successfully forced him to retreat. In August of the same year, Fu Jian officially sent troops to attack Jin, and made Rong Rong and 250,000 soldiers as pioneers. Fu Rong captured Shouchun (now Shouxian County, Anhui Province) and Mu Rongchui led his troops to capture Yuncheng (now Yunxian County, Hubei Province).

Take advantage of chaos to stand on its own feet

In November, Fu Jian was defeated by 8 Jin Army at Feishui, and the former Qin Jun in the front line was defeated. Only Mu Rongchui's army that did not take part in the Battle of Feishui was complete, so Fu Jian led down archers to take refuge in him. At that time, MuRongBao and others suggested that Mu Rongchui kill Fu Jian, but Mu Rongchui refused, and even suited up against Fu Jian. After Fu Jian arrived in Luoyang, more than ten thousand people had gathered 10. Until Mianchi (now Mianchi County, Henan Province), Mu Rongchui said that he would appease Hebei and visit the ancestral temple. Fu Jian accepted Mu Rongchui's invitation despite the opposition of the right wing.

Fu Pi, who was stationed in Yecheng at that time, knew that Mu Rongchui was coming. He suspected that he was interested in insurrection and wanted to attack him more. Only Jiang told Mu Rongchui not to rebel, and advised Fu Pi to guard Yan Bing first, pay attention to his actions, and let Fu Pi place Mu Rongchui in the west of Yecheng. Although Mu Rongchui refused to seize the opportunity to kill Fu Cha at that time, he still secretly colluded with Yan Qian's old minister and plotted the restoration. At this point, Ding Ling Ren Zhaibin arose, and Fu Jian ordered Mu Rongchui to make a crusade. Fu Pi has been afraid of Mu Rongchui's insurrection in Yecheng and intends to take this opportunity to send him away. He hoped that both he and Zhai Bin would lose, so that he could destroy the two forces. So, he gave two thousand weak soldiers and poor weapons and armor, and even sent Fu as his deputy, with the intention of solving Mu Rongchui's problem with him.

Murong left Murong Nong, Murong Kai and Murong Shao in Cao Ye; Liang Min and Lippi came from Cao Ye to negotiate with Pipi and Lippi. Mu Rongchui used this to inspire the army, and stayed in Hanoi County to recruit soldiers on the grounds of serenade, which increased the army to 8,000 in ten days. After being attacked by Zhai Bin, Fu Hui, the secretariat of Yuzhou, asked Mu Rongchui to invade quickly. Tell Fu that he will March at night instead, which is a surprise. However, in fact, he had planned to attack and kill Fu with other scholars, and finally killed Fu and his 1000 soldiers at night. The next day, Mu Rongchui ordered Tian Shan to return to his power, and told Murong Nong to stay in Yecheng and respond to himself. So the three men rode away with dozens of people traveling incognito and set out in Lieren (now northeast of Feixiang County, Hebei Province).

In the first year of Yanyuan (384), Mu Rongchui tried to attack Luoyang. At that time, Zhai Bin had Murong Feng, the former imperial clan of Yan State, and Duan Yan, the son of the former minister of Yan State, all advised Zhai Bin to take Mu Chui as the ally. After Mu Rongchui arrived in Luoyang, Fu Hui refused to rescue Mu Rongchui in the name of Fu Hui, so Mu Rongchui took Zhai Bin in. Soon, Mu Rongchui took Luoyang as the place of four wars, so he changed to attack Yecheng. In Xingyang (now Xingyang, Henan Province), Mu Rongchui was asked to be the emperor under the group, and Mu Rongchui was called the general, the viceroy and the prince first, taking the precedent of the Jin and Yuan emperors as an example. Then he led more than 200,000 troops to attack Yecheng. After arriving at Yeh, Mu Rongchui changed its name to "Yanyuan".

Invade yecheng

So he led troops to attack Ye, and Fu Pi sent Jiang Ren to blame him and advised him to give up the rebellion. Mu Rongchui, on the other hand, said that he only wanted Fu Cha to leave peacefully and give it to Yecheng, and promised to be friendly with the former Qin Dynasty for generations. He also threatened that if he did not obey, he would attack with his troops, fearing that he could not escape even if he wanted to. Hearing this, Jiang Rang accused Mu Rongchui of betraying the royal family, ignoring the kindness of the former Qin Dynasty to take him in, and now he wants to be a rebellious ghost. After hearing this, Mu Rongchui was silent, but he didn't listen to what others said and killed Jiang Jean. Instead, he showed respect and sent him back. But in the end, he stated his own interests and advised Fu Pi to abandon the city, which provoked Fu Jian and Fu Pi to write another book. After unsuccessful lobbying, the Yan army began to attack Yecheng, and captured its city, and Fu Pi retreated to Midtown. Then Mu Rongchui attacked the city with more than 200,000 Ding Ling and five-ring men, using ladders and tunnel tactics, but all failed. So he ordered the construction of a long fence as a defense and a new city to place trenches for long-term operations. Soon, Zhangshui filled Yecheng, but it still failed to capture, and Yecheng was besieged, leaving only a gap in the west for Qin Jun to move westward.

In April of the second year of Yan Yuan (385), Liu Laozhi, a general of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, entered Yecheng, and Mu Rongchui was defeated, so he withdrew from Tun New Town and soon withdrew from the north. Liu Laozhi chased him. When Fu Pi heard the news, he led the army to take his place. Liu Laozhi pursued all the way to Wu Qiaoze, because the army was busy robbing the trench of the Yan army and was defeated by Mu Rongchui. In August, Fu Pi gave up Yecheng, and Yan Jun finally succeeded in occupying Yecheng. /kloc-in October/February, Mu Rongchui officially made its capital Zhongshan (now Dingzhou City, Hebei Province). In the third year of Yan Yuan (386), Mu Rongchui proclaimed himself emperor. In February, it was renamed "Jianxing" and began to set up officials. In August, Mu Rongchui led his troops south to expand his territory, and attacked Hedong in the first month of the following year, defeating Wen Xiang, the satrap of Jinjibei.

Attack and destroy Xiyan.

Main item: the battle of platform wall

Murong Rou, Murong Sheng and Murong Hui arrived in Zhongshan from the eldest son of Xiyan Capital (now the west of Zhangzi County, Shanxi Province) in the third year of Jianxing (387) and went to Houyan. At that time, Mu Rongchui inquired about the local situation and intended to capture it. In the eighth year of Jianxing (392), Mu Rongchui led an army to defeat Zhai Zhao, a Dingling man, and annexed his department. In November of the following year, Mu Rongchui was advancing 70,000 soldiers to explore the west. In February of the following year, Mu Rongchui dispatched soldiers from Daihatsu, Hebei, Qinghai and Yanzhou to prepare for the attack. By May, Yan Jun attacked the platform wall through Tianjingguan, and successively defeated the righteousness and filial piety, and besieged the platform wall. Murong Yong returned to the platform wall from Taihang, and Mu Rongchui also led the army to the platform wall, so the two armies fought. In advance, Mu Rongchui sent general Murong Guo, a Xiao Qi, to ambush under the stream, so he pretended to retreat and led Murong Yong to catch up. A few miles later, Murong's ambush broke Murong Yong's back road, and the Yanjun attacked in all directions and defeated Murong Yong. After Murong Yong was defeated, he fled back to his eldest son. Mu Rongchui chased him in June and surrounded the city. In August, the besieged Murong Yong was in a hurry and asked for help from the Eastern Jin and Northern Wei Dynasties. But before the arrival of reinforcements, the righteous struggle returned to the headquarters and opened the city gate to meet the Yan army. Mu Rongchui captured Murong Yong, killed him and annexed Xiyan.

Twice cutting Wei

Battle of Shenbei River

In the second year of Jianxing (386), Tuoba GUI returned to China, later renamed Wang Wei, and established the Northern Wei Dynasty [7]. In the same year, due to domestic instability, Hou Yan was invited to reinforce [Ref. Mu Rongchui sent MuRongLin to save him, and finally helped TaBaGui solve this matter. Afterwards, although Tuoba GUI refused to accept Hou Yan's title, there were envoys between Yan and Wei every year. In the seventh year of lite (39 1), Tuoba GUI sent his younger brother Tuoba Tai to Houyan, but the Mu Rongchui philosopher who was in power at that time detained Tuoba Tai in order to be a good horse, which made Tuoba GUI interrupt the exchanges between the two countries. In May of the 11th year of Jianxing (395), Mu Rongchui ordered Prince Murong Bao and others to lead an army to attack Wei because the Northern Wei Dynasty invaded the border counties. At that time, Wei Jun led the crowd to avoid it, and Yan Jun arrived in Wuyuan (now northwest of Baotou, Inner Mongolia) in July, collecting more than 30,000 taels of grain, and did not fight with Wei Jun. At that time, Tuoba Gui took advantage of his illness to deliberately block Yan from entering Zhongshan, captured Hou Yan's emissaries, cut off the domestic traffic of Yan, and disturbed the morale of Yan with false news of his death. From September to 10, the two armies were deadlocked in Wuyuan River. Murong Bao and Murong were suspicious of each other because of the death of Mu Xin, the Ministry of Murong Lin, and finally burned the boat and left at night. At that time, the river had not frozen. Murong Bao thought it was impossible for Wei Jun to chase after crossing the river, so he didn't set scouts to monitor Wei Jun. In November, Wei Jun chased the river to Yan Jun, north of Shenhe River, and launched a surprise attack, defeating Yan Jun. A large number of civil and military officials and Yan Junbing of 40,000 to 50,000 people were captured, and even all Yan Junbing was killed in the Northern Wei Dynasty.

Murong Bao was defeated and fled to Zhongshan. Deeply humiliated by the Battle of Hebei, he invited him to attack the Northern Wei Dynasty. At that time, Stuart Murong De suggested that Murong Bao had been despised by the Northern Wei Dynasty after the defeat, and wanted Mu Rongchui to personally lead the troops to conquer them, so as to avoid future troubles. He ordered Youzhou to shepherd Murong Long and Murong Sheng, stay here, and lead elite soldiers to Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, and then cut Wei next year.

Battle of Pingcheng

In March, Mu Rongchui sent troops in secret, crossed Qingling (now Wubei Mountain in the southwest of Yixian County, Hebei Province), cut near Tianmen (now Laiyuan County, Hebei Province), and went out of Wei Jun to attack Yunzhong County by surprise. When Mu Rongchui led the army to Lieling (now Xiawushan, Daixian County, Shanxi Province), he ordered Murong Long and Murong Nong to attack Pingcheng (now Datong City, Shanxi Province). At that time, the Yanjun was afraid of Wei Jun because of the defeat of the Battle of Shenhe North, and only Murong Long and a group of soldiers in Longcheng were still attacking bravely. The Wei general TaBaQian who stayed in Pingcheng was unguarded. So in March, when Murong Longbing was in Pingcheng, he found the Yan army, led the resistance, and finally died. All the troops were accepted by the Yan army. The news of Tuoba Qian's death made Tuoba Gui, who was in Lesheng (now Inner Mongolia and Linger North), feel scared and planned to escape. However, everyone knows that Tuoba Qian died in different ways, which made Tuoba GUI not know where to go.

When Mu Rongchui passed through the battlefield of Shenbei, he saw the bones of those raped and killed soldiers piled up like mountains, so he offered sacrifices for them. When the soldiers saw all this, they were very sad and wept bitterly, which made Mu Rongchui feel ashamed and resentful. Finally, he vomited blood and became ill. He wants to go by carriage and stop three miles northwest of Pingcheng. At that time, Murong Bao had led the troops to the cloud and retired when he heard the news. Some soldiers rebelled against Yan, so they reported that Mu Rongchui was dead in the Northern Wei Dynasty. Tuoba GUI wanted to pursue him, but he gave up the idea after learning that Pingcheng had fallen. Mu Rongchui lived in Pingcheng for ten days, and his condition deteriorated, so he built Yanchang City and returned to the south. He died in Ju Yang (now Huailai County, Hebei Province) on April 2nd at the age of 71. Emperor Chengwu of posthumous title, temple name sai-jo.
