Wang Hao abandoned the traditional left-pushing and right-attacking technique at an early age and changed it to a thorough backhand horizontal stroke, which was undoubtedly unique in that year, but Wang Hao persisted. Therefore, the technical and tactical system based on him has become the unified standard of professional table tennis players all over the world.
As a teenager, with his excellent table tennis skills, Wang Hao was selected into the second national team with 1998, and was promoted to the first national team one year later, officially becoming a professional table tennis player. When he first entered the national team, Wang Hao showed excellent techniques and skills and gradually became the main force of the national team. In 2002, Wang Hao participated in the 2002 Egyptian Open and won the men's singles championship, ranking among the top 10 in the world, becoming one of the three most dazzling stars in the world table tennis world at that time.
Life after retirement
After retiring, Wang Hao bid farewell to his brilliant table tennis career and started a new life, transforming into a coach. Since becoming the men's table tennis coach of Bayi Team, great changes have taken place in Wang Hao's mentality and thoughts. As a coach, like athletes, I get up at six o'clock every day to do morning exercises, and then I practice all day. The whole trip is very tight, and there are few opportunities to go home. You can only go home and relax one day a week.
"Use your superb skills and tenacious spirit to infect the next generation and create greater value for promoting the upward development of table tennis." After becoming a member of the national team coaching staff, Wang Hao has a clearer plan for his future.
