Do you know how Wang Jiaxiang faded out of the leadership core?
Wang Jiaxiang is an important member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China's collective leadership with Mao Zedong at the core. At the historic Zunyi meeting in June 1935, Mao Zedong achieved the leading position of the whole party and army, and Wang Jiaxiang made historic contributions to it. After the Zunyi Conference, he was promoted from Alternate member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee to a full member, and was identified as a member of the Central Military Command Group composed of Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai and him. This three-person team was responsible for directing the Red Army to carry out the Long March, and was considered to be the most important leading body of the whole party and army at that time.

At the Sixth Plenary Session of the Sixth CPC Central Committee on 1938, Wang Jiaxiang conveyed the instructions of the Comintern and dimitrov's opinions, and made historic contributions to maintaining and consolidating Mao Zedong's leading position in the whole party and army. In Yan 'an, the Chairman of the Central Military Commission is Mao Zedong, and the Vice Chairmen are Zhou Enlai, Zhu De and Wang Jiaxiang. Zhou Enlai is based in Chongqing Nanfang Bureau, Zhu De frequently travels to and from the Eighth Route Army to direct operations and the headquarters of the Yan 'an Military Commission, and Wang Jiaxiang is based in Yan 'an, assisting Mao Zedong to preside over the daily work of the Military Commission, and concurrently serving as the director of the General Political Department of the Military Commission and the director of the Central North China and Central China Working Committee. 194 1 On August 27th, the the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee meeting made a decision: "The organization of the Central Secretariat will remain unchanged before the Seventh National Congress, but in order to enhance the efficiency of the central work, in addition to the weekly Politburo meeting, seven Politburo members living in Yang Jialing, including Wang Jiaxiang, Ren, Zhang Wentian, Chen Yun and He Kaifeng, will form a working meeting of the Central Secretariat, tentatively twice a week." ..........

Wang Jiaxiang, who has always been modest and prudent, does not talk about his own advantages, but only about his own shortcomings. In "My Resume" written by 1968, he said: "From 1938 to Yan 'an, I served as the General Political Department of the Military Commission until 1943 left due to illness, which was a period of less mistakes in my life." In fact, it was during this period that Wang Jiaxiang, as an important member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China's collective leadership with Mao Zedong at the core, made many important contributions to the cause of the Party, the revolutionary cause of China and the enrichment and development of Mao Zedong Thought, which was the crystallization of the collective wisdom of the whole party. He himself became a great proletarian revolutionary and an outstanding Marxist.

? 1943 On July 5th, Wang Jiaxiang was seriously ill, and wrote "China * * * and the Road to National Liberation in China-Commemorating the 22nd Anniversary of China * * * and the 6th Anniversary of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression", which was published on the front page of Liberation Daily in Yan 'an on July 8th of the same year. This is the first time that the whole party put forward "Mao Zedong Thought" and it is an important document recognized by history.

1945 From April 23rd to June 1 1 day, the 7th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) was held in Yan 'an. There were 755 delegates attending the Seventh National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), including 547 official delegates and 208 alternate delegates (without voting rights). Wang Jiaxiang, also a representative of the Seventh National Congress of the Communist Party of China, was included in the Shanxi-Hebei-Shandong-Henan delegation, but was unable to attend due to illness. Wang Jiaxiang was nominated by the Presidium of the Seventh National Congress as a candidate for the Central Committee. However, in the general assembly election on June 9, he only got 204 votes, less than half of which was defeated. Why did Wang Jiaxiang lose the election?

Hu Yaobang, the representative of the Seventh National Congress and the organization director of the Political Department of the Central Military Commission (compiled in the delegation of the Central Military Commission), said: "1In the autumn of 943, Comrade Jia Xiang suffered from serious gastrointestinal diseases and could not participate in the preparations for the Seventh National Congress of our Party, which is of great historical significance. Because quite a few delegates didn't understand at that time, he lost the election of the Central Committee. " "A considerable number of representatives lack understanding of him" is the most concise, general and accurate statement.

Yang, then Secretary-General of the Central Military Commission of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and representative of the Seventh National Congress, was included in the Shanxi-Hebei-Shandong-Henan delegation. 1July 997 16, the author visited Yang Shi, and he said: I think there may be two reasons. "One is that he is withdrawn and not close to the masses. People think he has a big shelf. In fact, he is a scholar-type cadre. In the Central Soviet Area, he lacked communication with the following cadres, and people respected him because he had this position, which Chairman Mao believed. I think this is his biggest shortcoming. " "Second, the Seventh National Congress is the route to liquidate Wang Ming. According to the situation, he should be an important figure in Wang Ming's route. " As a student studying in the Soviet Union, Wang Jiaxiang didn't do much work after returning to China, but suddenly he became the director of the General Political Department of the Red Army. Many cadres, including some veteran cadres who have experienced the Long March, still think that he belongs to Wang Ming's line. This is not bad either. At first, he took the route of Wang Ming. But in fact, after Wang Jiaxiang entered the Central Soviet Area, he gradually got to know Mao Zedong's military thoughts, especially Mao Zedong's. Therefore, he is always on Mao Zedong's side, and at the same time he is ill, so he doesn't care about taking his time. "Due to people's lack of understanding of Comrade Wang Jiaxiang, many people put him and Wang Ming together and did not elect a member of the Central Committee".

? Wang Jiaxiang is a scholar-type leading cadre. He seldom contacts with cadres and the masses, which is related to his personality. Everyone respects him, but lacks communication. During the Yan 'an period, he held an important position, worked hard and suffered from illness. Sometimes, when presiding over a meeting or listening to the reports of leaders of various units and base areas in front, or because the speaker is too verbose to grasp the main points, or because the meeting time has passed, it is necessary to leave time for him to make a conclusion, and sometimes he shows impatience and interrupts others' reports, which often causes some comrades to have opinions on him. Some representatives read his letter to Chairman Mao and were dissatisfied, thinking it was too simple. These may be the reasons that influenced his election as a member of the Central Committee.

Being defeated as a member of the Central Committee, of course, he can't enter the Politburo again, which is a major turning point and test in Wang Jiaxiang's revolutionary career. At this point, he is still in Wang Jiaping's residence on sick leave. Many comrades, including Zhu De, Peng, Li Fuchun, etc. Visit him one by one, ask about his illness with concern, and comfort him at the same time, lest he be sad. Wang Jiaxiang greeted everyone with a smile, but didn't talk about the defeat. Yang recalled: "I went from Yang Jialing to see him the day he lost the election in the Seventh National Congress. He smiled and said to me: nothing, it's better not to be elected, and it's not good to be in poor health. It's not good if you can't do more work after being elected. Wang Jiaxiang can calmly accept the failure of the formal Central Committee member, which shows the nature of a real * * * person, who values serving the interests of the party and the people wholeheartedly above all else.

On June 6th, at the 20th meeting of the Seventh National Congress in the Communist Party of China (CPC), Mao Zedong made a speech on the election of alternate members of the Seventh Central Committee to all delegates. The speech consists of three parts: first, I hope everyone will pay attention to this election. "Don't think that you can be careless when you choose the alternate member of the Central Committee. This election is also very meaningful, because there are quite a number of alternate Central Committee members to be elected by our General Assembly, including 34; They also participate in the work of the Central Committee, attend meetings of the Central Committee as nonvoting delegates, and have the right to speak and put forward opinions. When the official members of the Central Committee are vacant, they should fill them. If the Eighth National Congress cannot be postponed as scheduled, then the role of the alternate Central Committee member will be even greater. " Secondly, I would like to say a few words about the failure of the Central Committee of Wang Jiaxiang. Third, on the northeast issue, "I think it is good to have comrades from the northeast elected this time."

? "The Central Committee member was elected yesterday, but he was not elected, so the presidium took him as the first candidate for the alternate Central Committee member. I hope everyone will choose him. " Mao Zedong's speech deepened the delegates' understanding of Wang Jiaxiang. The congress voted to elect alternate members of the Central Committee. On June 1 1, the Seventh National Congress announced the election results of alternate Central Committee members, and 33 alternate Central Committee members were elected. According to the number of votes, Wang Jiaxiang was elected second. Yang recalled the scene at that time and said, "Chairman Mao helped Comrade Jia Xiang run for public office".
