Weihai Artists Association is a mass academic group under the leadership of Weihai Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the guidance of Shandong Artists Association, which shoulders the mission of developing Weihai fine arts. By the end of 20 15, the association had 422 members (including 42 national members).

Its purpose is to adhere to the direction of "choose one from two", implement the policy of "letting a hundred flowers blossom", fully follow the laws of fine arts, promote artistic democracy, actively encourage the free development of different forms, styles and schools of various paintings, constantly cultivate new people, introduce new works, unite the vast number of artists in Weihai, and strive to develop and prosper the fine arts with the spirit of the times and China characteristics.
