First, collect templates.
Template is a key to writing a resume. A meaningful template will save you a lot of detours. Usually, our practice is to refer to the resumes of previous brothers and sisters, and even some students directly copy them. We don't deny this practice, because students with the same major are usually employed in the same field, and resumes are very worthy of reference.
But it must be noted that once the template is fixed, our thinking can only be fixed in a certain mode, and it is difficult to have our own innovation. Try to download some favorite templates on the internet, choose those resume patterns that look clean and concise and integrate brothers and sisters, and finally choose the template that suits you.
Second, highlight the key points.
Under normal circumstances, people who screen resumes are divided into two categories, one is HR screening of third-party organizations entrusted by recruiting companies, and the other is employee screening of recruiting companies.
In both cases, name, telephone number, address, undergraduate and graduate schools, professional ranking and so on need to be highlighted. The difference is that the latter can try to highlight the name of their mentor. Why? Graduate students' job hunting is generally related to their major, and your tutor is probably a big cow in the industry. But for HR, reviewing your resume is a bit stupid in their eyes.
All kinds of software mastered during the postgraduate period should also be introduced emphatically, such as mastering office software and self-learning spss, for example. Those qualification examinations that you passed during your postgraduate study should be highlighted in capital letters and bold in your resume. In addition, the latter also needs to highlight the internship experience, research direction of papers, published papers and other credentials that reflect the value of graduate students.
Third, edge thinning
Usually, the internship experience is listed by inserting an invisible form, such as the internship in a company from June 20 17 to September 20 17, which is far from enough.
The internship experience needs to be carefully detailed, and write down the work you have done, the tasks you have undertaken and the roles you have played. For example, I worked as an intern in a company from June 20 17 to September 20 17. During this period, I took the initiative to write an airport site selection report, participated in the construction stage of a project, and independently completed the project data collation, which was well received and affirmed by leaders and colleagues.
This is not only internship experience, but also scientific research experience and published papers. For another example, a national academic paper "A City's Environmental Impact Assessment System" was published during the postgraduate period, which gave a new evaluation standard system, revised the indicators of a calculation model, and proposed new measures to solve environmental pollution.
Fourth, delete redundant words.
The courses and hobbies I learned during my graduate school don't need to occupy a lot of space. I once saw a one-and-a-half-page resume of a classmate, half of which was about all the courses during the class, and the other half was about my hobbies. Empathy, if you were HR, would you read such a resume?
If you want to make your resume complete, you can simply describe your self-evaluation. Two sentences are enough, not too long and too rigid. Some students won many awards and commendations during their school days, all of which were written in their resumes.
In fact, the original intention of students is to show that they are excellent, but if you are excellent in a certain field, you only need to list a top award. For example, if you have good academic performance and have won many scholarships, you only need to list a national scholarship; You sing well, just listing the first prize in a campus singer contest is enough to prove your strength. The principle is that few people talk.
Verb (short for verb) others
This part is introduced for special circumstances. Students who want to interview for a teacher position should try their best to enrich their teaching experience, such as substitute experience, auxiliary work, and even experience as a tutor, which can be included in their resumes.
For some enterprise positions, list all your valuable internship experiences one by one and extract the content of internship experience. There are also some fields in the industry. You should attach a few pages of your work at the end of your resume.
