Morphological characteristics: the body is covered with dark brown and khaki horizontal spots. There are 7-8 teeth on the upper edge of the frontal angle and 2-3 teeth on the lower edge. The lateral sulcus of the frontal angle is quite deep, extending to the eye after puncture, but the lateral crest of the frontal angle is low and blunt, and the central sulcus of the posterior crest of the frontal angle is obvious. There are obvious liver ridges, but no forehead and stomach ridges.
Fourth, Penaeus penicillatus
Alias: shrimp, white shrimp, red-tailed shrimp, red shrimp, shrimp, commonly known as red-tailed shrimp by FAO.
Morphological characteristics: the body is light brown, with 7 ~ 8 teeth on the upper edge of the frontal angle and 4 ~ 6 teeth on the lower edge. The antenna whip in the first section is slightly longer than the head breastplate, and the third claw foot of male shrimp has no brush hair, which is 1.2 ~ 2.7 times of that in the second section. There are intermittent pits on the forehead ridge. The wart process at the top of the anterior segment of female organ is smaller than that of Penaeus vannamei.
