Jasmine Sun, formerly known as Sun Wei, was born in Beijing and graduated from Tsinghua University. He is the only official suspect in Tsinghua University [1] Zhu Lingthallium poisoning. In 2005, 2006 and 20 13, she issued clarification statements in Tianya community three times.

At the beginning of 2006, with the intensification of public opinion, she changed her name from Sun Wei to her current name, and the original date of birth was changed to1973 August 10, and she applied for a new identity document with her identity photo taken in middle school.

On August 26th, 1998, the public security organ announced that Jasmine Sun was dismissed from suspicion [2]. Lawyer Chea Chang explained, "The dismissal of a criminal suspect means that the public security organ has lifted the compulsory measures against the criminal suspect according to law because there is no conclusive evidence beyond the statutory time limit, but this does not mean that the criminal suspect is excluded.".
