Shanghai Experimental School is referred to as "Shanghai Experimental School" and "Shanghai Experimental School" for short. Its predecessor was Shanghai Normal University's "Experimental Class for Comprehensive Reform of Primary and Secondary Education System". The school was established by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government on 1986 and completed the following year.
The school belongs to the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, and Shanghai Normal University is responsible for the leadership of party organizations and the guidance of education and scientific research. It is an experimental demonstration school integrating education, teaching and scientific research. The school implements a flexible academic system of primary school, junior high school and senior high school 10 years, including 4 years in primary school, 3 years in junior high school and 3 years in senior high school.
The school has three campuses. The middle school is located at No.300 Dongming Road, Pudong New Area, with an area of 1 10 mu and a building area of 43,000 square meters. The primary school is located at Nanmatou Road/Lane KLOC-0/6 1, and the international school is located atNo. KLOC-0/,Tianlin 13th Village, Xuhui District. The school has 2400 students and 250 in-service teachers.
There are about 200 senior three graduates every year, with an undergraduate rate of 100% and an undergraduate rate of about 90%.
The school independently compiles Chinese, mathematics and other textbooks from primary school to junior high school. The school also designed special courses to meet the learning needs of different students according to their personal specialties. In July 2020, it was recognized as 20 19 National Youth Campus Tennis School by the Ministry of Education.
