The relationship between personal accomplishment and the progress of social civilization is positively related. The higher the personal accomplishment, the higher the progress of social civilization; The progress of social civilization reflects the improvement of personal literacy. Strengthening personal cultivation is the need of socialist spiritual civilization construction and the call of the times. The ways to improve personal accomplishment are: study hard, be diligent in practice and persist in tempering.

Keywords personal accomplishment; Social civilization; Interrelation; Approach to realization

How to correctly understand and scientifically treat the relationship between personal cultivation and social civilization and progress, how to understand the connotation requirements of personal cultivation and how to consciously strengthen personal cultivation are important life topics that everyone, especially the contemporary China college students who represent the future of the nation, must figure out and solve. This article talks about my own superficial understanding.

First, there is a positive correlation between personal accomplishment and social civilization and progress.

What is self-cultivation? Self-cultivation is a virtue manifested by culture, quality, thought and knowledge, and it is an inner strength of a noble life. Self-cultivation is not aimed at a specific group of people, but at all mankind. Personal accomplishment refers to a certain level of one's theory, knowledge, art, thought and morality, and also reflects one's comprehensive ability and quality. Good cultivation can best reflect a person's taste and value, and people with high personal cultivation have the most personality and personality charm.

Paying attention to self-cultivation is a fine tradition of our Chinese nation since ancient times. The ancients said: "cultivate one's morality, keep one's family in order, govern the country and level the world" [1]. Putting "cultivation" in the first place shows that good personal cultivation is the premise of success. The ancients also said, "A gentleman should cultivate himself." "Heart is the foundation, and cultivation is the foundation." Good cultivation is the foundation of being a man and determines the success or failure of a person's career. In fact, its importance lies not only in individuals, but also in the degree of civilization and progress of a country and society. In a country, the individual is the main body, and the civilization and progress of a society are more reflected in the development of people. The level of citizens' personal accomplishment can reflect the civilization degree of a society and a country. Only when everyone's morality is high and good, and he has the quality of civilization, the overall quality of this country will be improved. If a person attaches importance to moral cultivation, it will directly affect the interpersonal relationship and role of individuals in social activities and affect their own image; The big one will affect the national reputation. From the logical relationship, the relationship between personal literacy and social civilization and progress is as follows: the higher the personal literacy, the more civilized and progressive the society; The progress of social civilization reflects the improvement of personal literacy, which in turn will further improve and sublimate the personal literacy of every member of society. There is a positive correlation between the two. Just as Mr. Lu Xun said: "If China wants to survive and compete in the world, its first thing is to establish people, and then everything is ready." [2] The meaning of "cultivating people" is to improve people's ideological and cultural accomplishment. It should be said that in the 60 years since the founding of New China, especially in the 30 years since the reform and opening up, our country's economy and society have made great progress, and the national quality has been continuously improved, but in contrast, the latter is still unsatisfactory. Not long ago, I read an article by Russian compatriots, and I was very unhappy. Russians don't want to be neighbors with China people, let alone rent their houses to China people, saying that they can't stand China people's habit of talking loudly, spitting and not paying attention to hygiene. I once read a report that Singapore is a country where English is widely used, and most of the slogans in public places in this country are written in English. But some polite slogans, such as "No spitting", "No smoking" and "No trampling on the lawn", are written in Chinese. Why? The answer is: "Because most of these uncivilized behaviors are tourists from Chinese mainland." Reflecting on the above two cases, I feel that some citizens in our country have poor personal cultivation, and there is still a considerable gap with some countries. From this perspective, strengthening personal cultivation is an urgent need for the construction of socialist spiritual civilization and the call of the times.

In today's highly developed economy and society and developed media, non-utilitarian factors are still very important in establishing healthy and harmonious interpersonal relationships. A person's optimism in the face of setbacks, emotional control ability, ability to understand others' emotions and communication ability are all important contents of self-cultivation. It plays an important role in deepening communication, enhancing personality charm and promoting social harmony and stability.

Second, the first requirement of the connotation of personal accomplishment is moral accomplishment.

The connotation of personal accomplishment is quite rich, including ideological and political accomplishment, moral accomplishment, cultural accomplishment, aesthetic accomplishment, psychological accomplishment and so on. These are all very important and should be strengthened. Of course, it is really difficult to be comprehensive and perfect, but the first thing is to strengthen personal moral cultivation.

Virtue has existed since ancient times. Since the birth of human society, people have attached importance to virtues, including social morality, professional ethics and family virtues. Public morality is the code of conduct that citizens should abide by in social communication and social life, and it is also the most solid foundation and pillar in the whole moral system. The report of the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China put forward that "patriotism, collectivism and socialist spirit should be vigorously promoted, and the construction of social morality, professional ethics, family virtues and personal morality should be strengthened with the emphasis on enhancing the sense of honesty" [3]. Among them, strengthening personal moral construction was formally put forward in the central document for the first time, which has important theoretical and practical significance. The report of the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China increased personal moral construction, from "three virtues" to "four virtues". "Four Virtues Construction" puts forward corresponding requirements for moral construction from the social, organizational, family and personal levels, enriching the theoretical system and connotation of socialist moral construction. Personal moral construction occupies the foundation and pillar position in the construction of "four virtues". Whether it is to improve social morality, strengthen professional ethics and carry forward family virtues, it is inseparable from strengthening personal moral construction. In moral construction, "people-oriented", starting from specific individuals, attaching importance to personal moral education, stressing morality and emphasizing self-cultivation will undoubtedly help to improve the moral level of the whole society. The report of the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China emphasizes the construction of personal morality, and actually requires every citizen to strengthen personal moral cultivation. At present, there are still a lot of fields in society that are difficult to be bound by laws and systems, and personal morality is "internal law". The realization of social morality, professional ethics and family virtues will ultimately resort to personal morality. Personal morality is the embodiment of the moral principles and norms of a certain society in personal thoughts and behaviors, and it is a relatively stable and consistent moral characteristic and tendency shown by a person in his moral behavior as a whole. Personal morality is not only the internalization of social moral principles and norms, but also the result of individual's understanding, choice and practice of social morality as the main body, and the personalized moral characteristics of individual's behavior in social life. If personal morality is improved, it can be "Ned is for himself, and foreign morality is for others" [4], which can promote social moral progress.

The content of civic moral construction is "patriotism and law-abiding, courtesy and honesty, unity and friendliness, diligence and self-improvement, dedication and dedication" [5]. These 20 words not only carry forward the traditional virtues, inherit the revolutionary morality, but also sum up the new experience of ideological and moral construction since the reform and opening up, which has distinct China style and characteristics of the times. These 20 words, covering all fields of social life, are applicable to different social groups and are the basic code of conduct that every citizen should abide by. Learning and practicing these 20 words should be the main theme of social morality, professional ethics, family virtues and personal moral construction. The most important thing here is to infiltrate the specific requirements of these 20 words into the daily work and life of every member of society, become the self-cultivation standard and behavior habit of every member of society, and become the conscious action of every member of society.

Three ways to improve the level of personal moral cultivation

No one's civilization accomplishment is innate, but is gradually cultivated and exercised by the acquired life practice. So how to improve personal cultivation? There are three main ways to achieve this:

One of the ways to realize it: self-study seriously. Knowledge is the ladder of human progress, and it is also the carrier of people's quality and ability. Rich knowledge is the basis of knowing books and rituals. Without knowledge, people's quality and ability have no necessary foundation. Therefore, at any time, a solid knowledge base, a broad knowledge horizon and a reasonable knowledge structure are all important value goals we pursue. Learning can improve human nature, which is like wild flowers and weeds. Only by pruning and transplanting after learning can it become more perfect and beautiful. Therefore, to improve self-cultivation, we must enrich ourselves with scientific and cultural knowledge. Only by mastering scientific and cultural knowledge can people distinguish right from wrong, distinguish good from evil, understand beauty and ugliness, and correctly grasp themselves. As the saying goes, thought determines behavior, behavior determines habit, habit determines morality, and morality determines fate. In particular, it is necessary to point out that the ideological and moral cultivation and legal foundation we are studying are compulsory courses to strengthen personal cultivation. Learning it well can help us to establish a correct world outlook, outlook on life and values. World outlook, outlook on life and values are closely related to people's whole spiritual world-psychological state, morality, work taste, life taste, treating people with things and so on. This is the theoretical basis of personal cultivation. Guided by the correct world outlook, outlook on life and values, we can truly grasp the direction and goal of personal cultivation.

The second way: self-diligence in practice. The ultimate goal of learning lies not in knowledge itself, but in changing the way of thinking and behavior. If a person has the knowledge to be a noble person, then only by putting this knowledge into practice, persisting in integrating theory with practice, applying what he has learned, and integrating knowledge with practice, will he become a noble person and a truly cultivated gentleman, otherwise he will be a hypocrite with different knowledge and practice. For college students, they are now in the most critical growth period in their lives, and what they do during this period will have a subtle influence on their psychological quality. Civilized behavior helps to improve a person's psychological quality and moral quality. If you don't pay attention to the cultivation of your own moral quality at this time, even if you have rich scientific and cultural knowledge, what is the use of people to yourself and society? College students should improve their personal accomplishment, especially their moral accomplishment, by strengthening civilized manners. Civilized etiquette is the foundation of study and life, and it is the arm of personal healthy growth. Without civility, there is no basic moral bottom line. Learning must first learn to be a person, learn to be a civilized person, learn to be a social person, start from me, and start from every little thing. Don't swear, don't spit everywhere; No littering, no fighting; Keep your feet under control and don't trample on the lawn. Speak politely with the teacher; In and out of public places, dressed neatly, appropriately and generously; When watching all kinds of performances, you should enter the venue on time, sit down as required, keep quiet during the performance, don't boo, and don't clap your hands after the performance; Maintain normal dining order, do not cut in line, do not crowd, and respect canteen service personnel; Give your seat to the elderly, pregnant women and children when you take the bus. In short, we should start from bit by bit, develop good behavior habits, establish and maintain the good image of contemporary college students in China, and let our words and deeds show the beauty and glory of moral cultivation.

The third way to achieve it: self-persistence. It is often said that it is easy to be a good person for a while, but difficult to be a good person for a lifetime. Personal cultivation is a lifelong matter. A person's cultivation is not that human nature will always be maintained at a certain level, but like sailing against the current. If you relax a little, you will give up all your previous efforts. The more prosperous the life, the more you should feel in the abyss. You should pay more attention to personal cultivation and always encourage yourself. Personal cultivation and tempering should be paid attention to at all times, and there should be no slack for a moment. Seriously rely on yourself to do everything well, and be cautious about what you say and do. Only in this way can we really cultivate and maintain our good moral cultivation for a long time.

It can be said with certainty that everyone needs self-cultivation, and social progress also needs self-cultivation, which is particularly important today in promoting Socialism with Chinese characteristics's modernization and striving to realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. The formation of a person's correct thinking and noble morality needs a process of continuous deepening and transformation. Only through continuous learning and transformation, and always insisting on strict demands on ourselves in practice, can personal accomplishment be improved and perfected, and society will be more civilized and progressive.
