20121219 The National Development and Reform Commission officially approved the construction of the Nantong-Anting section of the Hutong Railway. The line is drawn from the proposed Pingtung Station of Ningqi Railway, passing 2 kilometers upstream of Jiuwei Port in Nantong City, crossing the Yangtze River Tianshenggang Waterway and connecting to the south bank, and connecting to beijing-shanghai railway via Zhangjiagang, Changshu, Taicang and Anting. There are stations such as Pingtung Station, Nantong West Station, Zhangjiagang North Station, Zhangjiagang Station, Changshu Station, Taicang Port Station, Taicang Station, Anting Station and Huangdu Station.

The line grade of Hutong Railway is the first class of national railway, and the designed running speed of passenger cars reaches 200 km/h. After the completion of Hutong Railway, it is expected that Shanghai and Nantong will reach each other within 1 hour, which is about 1 hour shorter than the current driving time. In addition, Liu Jianzhong, director of Jiangsu Nantong Railway Office, also stressed that the per capita ride cost of Hutong Railway will not exceed that of 90 yuan, and strive to save more than the ride cost 1/3.

The functional orientation of the Hutong Railway is very clear: it is a railway channel that mainly undertakes the intercity passenger exchange between Shanghai and southern Jiangsu and northern Jiangsu, taking into account both cargo transportation and long-distance passenger exchange. It can form a new channel between Shanghai and Xuzhou, and between Shanghai and Nanjing, and alleviate the problem of insufficient river crossing capacity in the eastern region.

According to the long-term plan, after the completion of the Hutong Railway, the number of passenger cars from Nantong to Taicang will reach 100 pairs/day, and the freight volume will be 25 million tons/year. From Taicang to Anting, there are 120 pairs of buses every day, and the annual freight volume is150,000 tons.

The Hutong Railway will enter Pudong.

In the planning process, the branch line from Taicang to Pudong via Baoshan has been adjusted twice to avoid residential areas, involving about 30 kilometers.

The Hutong Railway starts from Taicang in a Y-shape, with one connecting Shanghai-Nanjing Railway and the other connecting Baoshan and Pudong to Pudong Railway. After the line is completed, the train operation will be divided into Nantong-Taicang-Anting direction and Nantong-Taicang-Pudong direction, and there will be EMU trains running.

Sun Zhang, a rail transit expert and professor at Tongji University, said: "The Hutong Railway not only facilitates Pudong residents to go out, but also connects Waigaoqiao and Luchao Port, which helps to increase the proportion of container railway transportation between Waigaoqiao Wharf and Yangshan Port and relieve the pressure of land container trucks on traffic."

According to the environmental impact report of the 20 10 railway from Shanghai (Anting, Situan) to Nantong, after the Hutong railway branches at Taicang Station, one of them passes through Xuxing, Yangxing, Zhang Miao, Waigaoqiao, Cao Lu, Zhu Qiao, Pudong Railway Station and Shaochang to Situan, with a length of about 1 12 km.

However, in the planning process, in order to avoid residential areas, the branch line from Taicang to Pudong via Baoshan was adjusted twice, involving a section of about 30 kilometers, including the section from Baoshan Yangxing Station to the city boundary: after starting from Baoshan Yangxing Station of Hutong Railway, the line was adjusted to the northwest, with a length of about 27.4 kilometers, and the specific line was changed to the west side of planned S7 Expressway, G 150 1. The original route direction of Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone has also been optimized and adjusted. The adjusted route direction deviates to the southwest compared with the original route. Walking on the west side of the Outer Ring Canal, after crossing Zhouhai Road, the radius of 1600 meters obliquely crosses the Outer Ring Canal, Lujiugou and A20 Highway (Huandong Second Avenue) and then turns east. The length of the route is about 2.7 kilometers.
