The shape of stone dogs found in different areas is very different, and the sequence characteristics of regional development and evolution are obvious. Generally, the villages where stone dogs were found were built earlier, at the latest in the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China. According to incomplete statistics, there are nearly ten thousand stone dogs in Leizhou Peninsula.
