How did Elder Ben Huan pass on Zen Buddhism? On-the-spot report before and after the connection of Master Xin Yuan (transferred from Hong Kong Buddhism No.565)
◎ In 2003, Master Xinyuan (Han nationality) entered Tibet for eight years, and relied on Awang Deng Yun, the 46th generation of Ruyibao of Juenang School, to complete the retreat meditation of "Time Wheel King Kong" and "Rona Six Methods". Because of his maturity, he decided to go back to the Han Dynasty to preach Buddhism, so he went to Guangxiao Temple in Guangzhou to seek the confirmation of Zen master Ben Huan, hoping to get Buddhism. At that time, Ben Lao asked Master Xinyuan to obtain the abbot qualification in a large-scale temple before he could teach Buddhism. After receiving the instructions, Master Xinyuan returned to the Lotus Cave of Gato Temple in Ganzi, Sichuan Province (Master Hua Sheng once lived here to practice dharma, hence the name), and closed up and practiced various teachings of the Red Sect for one and a half years. He returned to Beijing after the end of 2005, and began to build two temples in Fangshan District of Beijing and Zhuolu County of Hebei Province in April 2006. In the same year, during the Christmas of Guanyin (September 19th of the lunar calendar), the opening ceremony of the Buddha statue was held at the Dojo in Zhuolu County, Hebei Province. On the night of September 18th, Xinyuan observed that Elder Benhuan had lotus flowers on his hands and feet. Knowing that karma was ripe, she telephoned Dai Guocheng, the domestic public relations officer of Buddhism in Hong Kong, and invited them to attend the birthday celebration with Elder Benhuan, hoping to get Buddhism. At that time, due to insufficient karma, I could not leave immediately. On October 24th, 2007, at the invitation of two lay people in Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province, Xin Kricketot took Brother Yuan Buddha and me to Zhanjiang. On the morning of 28th, Master Xinyuan meditated in Zhanjiang's residence. After that, he went downstairs and wrote a word "raincoat" for us, which was read by the fat layman in Zhanjiang and the layman in Changle. How to pronounce this word? What does this mean? None of us knows the pronunciation of this word. Heart Kricketot said,' Ten Buddhas and Bodhisattvas gave him this word and went to the old place to receive the Dharma, which was a great victory'. On February 1 day, Master Xinyuan took us to Shenzhen Hongfa Temple and went directly to the abbot's room to meet Elder Ben Huan. It was the old man's lunch break, and Master Xinyuan was sitting on the floor outside the abbot, meditating and offering food. At half past two in the afternoon, Ben Lao began to meet the masses. After paying homage to Ben Lao, Master Xinyuan reported a period of karma when he asked Ben Lao for Dharma in Guangxiao Temple three years ago, and reported his experience in practicing Dharma and building temples in recent years, expressing his determination to carry forward Zen Buddhism and hoping to get Ben Lao's Dharma now. Ben immediately agreed and asked Xinyuan to write a resume and arrange to preach the law on the 6 th of this month. On February 2nd, Xinyuan wrote a resume and two poems to support his old man. One day: Buddhism is not good, fireworks Gengetsu mirror; The same is true of spring dreams, full of wishes. One said: pure heart, radiant sea source, continue to bear blood in the vast; May this woman turn into bliss, and the wind will always be true. I am very glad to get the support and recovery of the Dharma, and encourage the Master of Heart Edge to have the ability and courage to undertake great things. And arrange for the master to handle this matter. The master and another mage also asked Xinyuan about the experience and understanding of practicing dharma, so that Xinyuan could make arrangements for receiving dharma. On February 4th, Xinyuan had a dream during her lunch break: Xinyuan and many monks asked the old man for a magic weapon to learn calligraphy. Heart margin is holding two brushes, and other monks are holding one. As a result, the tip of a brush in Xinyuan's hand fell off and he couldn't write. Heart margin explained the origin of dreams to us: in the two methods of Zen, the old association asked heart margin to concentrate on promoting Zen and not to engage in more. He also said that if the meditator feels unsatisfied in the process of practice, he can try to practice meditation with the help of time wheel king kong and other methods, so as to gain enlightenment experience faster. At 7: 30 in the morning of February 6th, Xin Kricketot took us to the abbot's room to prepare for the connection. After worshipping Ben, seeing the old man happy, he immediately wrote a poem: Always hold the supreme precepts of the Buddhas, and learn to understand the vacuum with joy; The heart is full of kindness and wisdom, and the source is deep and pure. And give it to the heart source. As time was full during the day, I told Xin Kricketot to pick up the dharma at 6: 30 in the evening. In the evening, we arrived at Zhang's room on time. By this time, Ben Lao had arranged his ancestral clothes, everything was ready, and he was happily waiting for the arrival of his heart. At first, I thought that there might be many people attending the Fa Conference. Now I know that there are only Ben Lao and the waiter, but I feel the atmosphere is extremely solemn and solemn. At this time, Master Xinyuan saluted Ben Huan and sang loudly:' Bow to the elder'. Ben's face suddenly showed a naive and kind smile, which broke the dignity at that time and repeatedly said,' Good, good, good! He also ordered the waiter to take off the kneeling mat and said to his heart,' Show your talents and worship the Buddha three times'. Master Xinyuan paid tribute to the Buddha as promised, and then to the third child, and the spread of Buddhism began. Then Ben always told Master Xinyuan to kneel down, and we knelt behind him. Ben Lao began to pass on Zen to Master Xinyuan. Ben Lao first read the Genealogy of Lin Ji, which recorded the names of ancestors from Sakyamuni Buddha to Master Huineng, the sixth ancestor, and from Lin Yizong to Ben Lao himself. Then he said,' My Buddhism has been handed down from generation to generation by Sakyamuni Buddha, and it is a true eye. The Buddha smiled and passed it to Mahayana Leaf, which passed it to Ananda. After several generations of ancestors, Dharma, the founder of our country, began to establish sects, and the 44th generation of Lin Jizong came to me. I got Buddhism from the old monk Xu Yun, so we were taught. The ancestors of the past dynasties made great efforts to protect and promote Buddhism, which led to the prosperity of Buddhism today. You are now the 45th generation of Lin Ji, so you should have great courage to undertake the responsibility of the Tathagata family business and learn from your ancestors. Today's Buddhism is hard-won, so we should cherish it, always think about all beings and our responsibilities. I have been a monk for more than 70 years, and times are difficult. In order not to forget Verne, write in blood and be ascetic. To this day, I still feel that I haven't done enough, and I still have to work hard. May all living beings be free from suffering and not seek happiness for themselves.' I am one hundred years old this year, and I will continue to work hard. You are still young and enlightened, and you should devote yourself to the cause of preaching Buddhism. Now you bow to the ancestors of past generations and worship three times. When Ben finished speaking, he began to pass on the ancestral clothes. Master Xinyuan took the ancestral clothes and beads from the old man, and when the clothes were put on, the old waiter announced,' Bow and preach the Dharma, and worship the elder three times'. The master of heart predestination worships Ben Lao. Then, Ben Lao told Master Xinyuan to continue to kneel down, and the waiter read out the contents of the law volume. "Fa Juan" records the Zen genealogy and dharma books confirmed by Ben Lao for Master Xinyuan. In Lin Ji, I read the names of the forty-five generations of Interpretation of Heart Margin, handed the Fa Juan to Master Heart Margin, and Heart Margin took the Fa Juan and stood up to pay homage to Ben Lao. Master Xinyuan held the Dharma in his chest and continued to kneel. The old man began to explain to his heart:' I am a hundred years old, and teaching Buddhism means perfection. Now you are not an ordinary monk. You are Buddhism, handed down from generation to generation by Sakyamuni Buddha. You should continue in the footsteps of your ancestors, carry forward Buddhism, forget yourself for Buddhism, and pass it on from generation to generation. Now I pass it on to you, and so do you. It is not easy to train Buddhist monks, bring good apprentices and pass on the Dharma pulse from generation to generation. It is difficult and not easy to get the dharma. It is empty talk to promote Buddhism without painstaking practice. So Buddhism is not transmitted by light. You must choose an instrument worthy of inheritance. I know that you are diligent and ascetic in practicing Buddhism, and you have today's merits. You have practiced a lot of Buddhism before. Do nothing else. No matter how much you do, you won't succeed. It is better to concentrate on one subject and achieve it easily. You must remember now that from this moment on, you are not an ordinary monk. It is the Buddhism of Sakyamuni Buddha, and it is also your mission to shoulder the responsibility of Tathagata Buddhism. I am old, but I will continue to work hard. If you have any requirements in the future, just tell me directly. Heart margin listened to the inspiration of Ben Lao, got up and bowed to Ben Lao. Finally, I took a photo as a souvenir. Ben got up and sat at the table and took a photo with Xinyuan. Brother Yuan Buddha and I also want to have fun with Fa and ask Ben Lao to take a photo together. Ben is very happy, with a kind smile on his face. He took the master's hand and told us to stand in position and take a group photo together. After all the preaching, we said goodbye to the old man and went back to the hut with a sigh of relief. The next day, Master Xinyuan took me and Brother Yuan Buddha to the abbot's room for a long time according to the arrangement of the old man. At this time, the old waiter conveyed to Master Xinyuan:' You have finished the Dharma, and the elder ordered you to return to Beijing Temple as soon as possible. We set out for Beijing according to our arrangement and arrived in Beijing on the evening of the 8th. Because the airport is too far away from the temple, the layman who picked us up arranged for us to go back to the temple the next morning. At this time, the resident yogi called Xin Kricketot and said that Xin Kricketot had scattered a layer of white things in his room, asking Xin Kricketot to return to the temple as soon as possible. We immediately rushed back overnight. After entering the room, the whole shack room of about 20 square meters where Master Xinyuan lived was covered with a layer of salt-like substance, and the room was white and crystal clear. The lanterns outside the permanent practice hall are also automatically lit. At that time, everyone was very excited, curious about such a wonderful scene and admired Ben Lao's great merits! Master Xinyuan called it a relic of heaven and a symbol of good luck. Ten Buddhas and Bodhisattvas gave the word "raincoat" to Xin Kricketot before the Dharma Council was connected. It means rain and dew, and the dharma has been accepted. The vestments have been worn and the rain has fallen. Encourage everyone to practice hard, be practical and ambitious, dare to undertake the great cause of spreading Buddhism, and live up to the kindness of teachers and ancestors. Dai Guocheng, a domestic public relations officer of Hong Kong Buddhist Monthly, has always been very supportive and concerned about the promotion of Buddhism in Kricketot, including this reception. So, after Xinyuan returned to Beijing, she immediately contacted Dai Guocheng, a Buddhist, about the contact and the surrender of the relic. At that time, Dai Guocheng, a Buddhist, had just returned to Shanghai after attending the Dafa meeting held by the Sande Center in Hong Kong. Knowing the situation, he rushed to Beijing Temple the next day regardless of fatigue and recorded this extraordinary moment. Dai Jushi hopes that we can collect, preserve and support all these heavenly substances, and make a scientific inspection and analysis at our convenience. And encourage us to overcome all difficulties to build temples, inherit China's excellent Buddhism and Buddhist cultural traditions, carry forward sincere belief in Buddhism, adhere to the fine tradition of' celibacy, robes and vegetarianism', be a good teacher, lead the majority of believers to learn the method of self-cultivation and self-cultivation, give full play to the due role of Buddhism in building a' harmonious society', and live up to the ardent hopes of Elder Ben Huan. After the Spring Festival, I took photos and relics to the Hongfa Temple in Shenzhen to report to the old man. The old man was very happy and asked us to work hard to live up to the teacher's wishes. He also asked me to tell Master Xinyuan:' Don't worry about my health, I'm fine, let him carry forward Buddhism wholeheartedly.' He also gave me a lot of blood, "Bodhisattva Bodhisattva Wish", saying,' You should not only read it yourself, but also lead the public to read it well, so don't stick to it on the road of practice. The joy of being old at that time gave me great encouragement. Looking at the combination of the persistence of Master Lingyuan and the abandonment of the Buddhist relic, as the old man once said,' As long as the practitioner puts down his physical and mental world and works hard to do the Tao, other things will be arranged for us by Buddha and Bodhisattva. Looking back on Master Xinyuan's daily activities, I know that Master Xinyuan is a comprehensive interpreter of this ancient revelation! Master Xinyuan is completely like a fool when he is practicing the teachings of Red Religion, White Religion and Sense Capsule Religion. He only knows chanting and practicing teachings. Because he is poor, he sometimes can't even eat. Because of his asceticism and diligence, he was called "the first ascetic monk in Tibet and the second ascetic monk in Milarepa" by the King Kong brothers. During this period, Master Xinyuan also visited yunmen temple, Gaomin Temple, Guangxiao Temple and other Zen Dojo. Because of this, he was able to win the dharma edge, practice in the cave where Master Lian Huasheng lived, and completed all the dharma veins of Confucianism, Buddhism and Buddhism, with great achievements. Postscript In July, 2004, I made a pilgrimage to the second Jingang Dojo and Gato Temple in Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan Province, and attended the All Saints' Dharma Meeting. I met the Master of Heart Fate at Rinpoche's home in Loca. During the conversation, I learned that he was a China mage who had practiced Buddhism in Tibet for several years, and was inherited and blessed by Rinpoche, who had made great achievements in Tibet. Although I have experienced hardships in studying Buddhism and practicing dharma in the local area, I am deeply impressed. In the next few days, I got along with my master day and night, and I felt that he had a quiet and stupid performance. Knowing that I am a disciple of Ben Lao, the master talked with me about the karma of seeking dharma from Ben Lao. I encourage Master Xinyuan to go back to the mainland to preach Buddhism after Kato finished practicing Buddhism, and I am willing to help him receive Buddhism in this old place. Now this old compassion has passed Buddhism on to Master Heart Edge, and I feel sincerely gratified. What a wonderful karma! I sincerely wish Master Xinyuan to continue his Buddhist wisdom and strive to spread Buddhism. Dai guocheng
