After Hu Shanxiang was abolished, why did the queen mother sympathize with the emperor and regret it? What kind of person is she? Why was it abolished? Let's take a look at the fog of history.
I. Resume of birth
The story of Hu Shanxiang, the empress of Zhu Zhanji, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty in the Ming Dynasty, is completely different from that in the TV series Ming Fenghua. Hu Shanxiang is not an orphan in Jingnan, but her family is good.
Hongwu was born in Jining, Shandong Province on April 10th, thirty-five years ago.
Her father's name is Hu Rong, and he was appointed as one hundred Royal Guards. After Hu Shanxiang became a queen, she successively served as Guangluqing, a general in title of generals in ancient times, and commander-in-chief of China army. My sister's name is Hu Shanwei. In Ming Taizu's early life, she was elected to the palace as a female official of the four dynasties. Eldest brother Juan, the avantgarde director of the government. Hu Xuan, the second brother, is an avant-garde family in the government army.
In the fifteenth year of Yongle, due to his good name, he was elected as the grandson of the emperor. After Renzong succeeded to the throne, he became the crown prince's concubine. In the first year of Hongxi, Zhu Gaochi, Emperor Renzong who succeeded to the throne for less than a year, died, and Prince Zhu Zhanji succeeded to the throne, renamed Xuande. In the first year of Xuande, he was canonized as a queen.
Second, behave yourself.
According to historical records, Hu Shanxiang is kind and simple, pure in nature, generous in mind, dignified in manner and not flattering. She has neither sinned nor been implicated by her family, so it is extremely rare to become a neglected queen.
Although the Queen Mother loves her, Zhu Zhanji doesn't like her. In addition, she only gave birth to two daughters, Princess Shunde and Princess Yongqing, and did not give birth to a son, which was even more difficult for the emperor to love. At that time, Zhu Zhanji's favorite woman was the imperial concubine Sun, who was beautiful and HuiLaiShi.
Third, the reasons for waste
Then why was she ruined? At present, there are two recognized reasons:
1, epitaph theory
Hu Shanxiang's epitaph says the reason why it was abolished:
Later, because he was childless and sick, he asked to avoid his position on the operating table. From then on, he said to the department of rites, "Compared with Hu Huanghou, he is too sick to be respectful. Pay attention to childlessness, humility and concession, and ask for a room on the table. I read the meaning of husband and wife, refused to accept it, but earnestly said it over and over again, more eager to cut it. Now that I have made up my mind, I will leave the palace, my title and food will remain the same, and my attendants will retire to Changle Palace. " Therefore, the imperial concubine Sun Shi was made the queen, which is a matter of national history. From this epitaph, we can see that the reason why Queen Hu Shanxiang was abolished was that she resigned herself on the grounds that she was childless and sick. This reason is a bit far-fetched, and it should be the gold that Zhu Zhanji gave himself.
2. Historical data theory
"Sheng Chao's General History and Interpretation of Different Records" records like this:
"The queen mother has an imperial edict, saying that the two have been positioning for a long time and there is no room for discussion. Hu is still the queen, the imperial concubine. The queen of story books uses the golden treasure book, and the imperial concubine descended to earth, and the golden treasure book has no treasure. When Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty just succeeded to the throne, he also slightly asked Sun Shi, especially for Sun Shi to ask the Queen Mother for a treasure. " "After a few rules, a little tired. After illness, I have no children, and I have a body with the imperial concubine and imperial secretary, and the imperial concubine hides it. " By November of the second year, it was widely rumored in the palace that the imperial concubine had given birth to the eldest son of the emperor, so Zhang Fu, Zhou Yi, Xia Yuanji and others were summoned. The Oracle said: I have an important matter to discuss with you and others, but I must decide. I have no children in my thirties, but I am often infertile and sick. The Japanese say that Gong Wei will have no children in this life, and now the imperial concubine has children and should be the heir. Husband and mother are more expensive than children, and courtesy is also. Why in the palace? "The above historical materials clearly explain the reasons why Zhu Zhanji was abolished. The emperor disliked Hu Shanxiang because he often remonstrated with him. Sun Guifei was loved before Xuanzong ascended the throne, and after Xuanzong ascended the throne, she was even more beautiful. Later, Sun Shi held the maid-in-waiting's son in her lap and pretended to be her own. Xuanzong was very happy to have a son, and he was inclined to Sun Shi, so there was no waste later.
Fourth, the end of waste.
After Hu Huanghou was abolished, he lived in seclusion in Chang 'an Palace and became a Taoist priest. The Queen Mother sympathized with Hu Shanxiang and often called her into the palace. When the palace held a banquet, the Queen Mother asked Hu Shanxiang to sit on the new queen Sun, which made Sun Shi feel very unhappy.
After the death of Empress Dowager Cixi, Hu Shanxiang cried very sadly. The second year after the death of Empress Dowager Cixi, that is, the fifth day of November in the eighth year of orthodoxy, he died of depression.
After his death, he was buried in Jinshan with a royal ceremony, and posthumous title was regarded as a "quiet and kind fairy teacher". Later, it was suggested that Yingzong restore Hu's status as queen, so after gathering his ministers and getting their support, he restored her status, honoring her as "Congshun Kangmujing" and building a mausoleum instead of a temple.
To sum up, it is precisely because Hu Shanxiang was too loyal and kind, not flattering, and had no children in the palace, especially Zhu Zhanji, who was often persuaded to dislike him and eventually led to his abolition.
