She Yan, the full name of Zhou She inkstone, is one of the four famous inkstones in China, which is as famous as Yan Tao in Gansu and Duanyan in Guangdong. It is located in Zhou She, between Huangshan Mountain and Tianmu Mountain and Baiji Mountain, including Shexian County, Xiuning County, Qimen County, yi county County and Wuyuan County. The best producing area of sheshi is Xiaxijian of Weilong Mountain (Luowenshan) at the junction of Wuyuan and Shexian, so She Yan is also called Weilong inkstone, and Weilong Mountain is the producing area of most stone materials that survive in the world. Li Yu, queen of the Southern Tang Dynasty, said that "the inkstone is the best in the world"; Su Dongpo commented on his "smooth pen and smooth ink, reasonable melon skin, golden voice and jade virtue"; Mi Fei said, "Venus and Song Yan are beautiful, breathing clouds, and water is not dry." . In September, 2004, China National Light Industry Federation and China Four Treasures of the Study Research Association awarded Shexian the honorary title of "She Yan Town, China".
