There are two kinds of morality, one is self-discipline and the other is heteronomy.

Independent morality can be moral from the heart, so that others can see that his morality is not an end, but a natural result.

Heteronomous morality must act ethically under external rules, which is not from the heart. Strictly speaking, this is not moral.

The ultimate goal of psychological education is to make people have independent morality. If moral education is only carried out from the perspective of independent morality, the common goal of psychological education and moral education will be to become a mentally healthy and moral person. Mental health and psychological morality are realized at the same time, not successively.

The difference between psychological education and moral education is that when the "virtue" in moral education refers to heteronomous morality, then moral education is not psychological education. If "virtue" in moral education refers to independent morality, then moral education is mental education.

When psychology gradually enters the school society, mental health education has become a tool of moral education, and many schools are carrying out moral education in a careful way.
