Macao trade and investment promotion institute's functions
Responsible for formulating and implementing economic policies to promote foreign trade, attract investment and assist economic participants. Specific responsibilities include: promoting the development and diversification of Macao's exports by showing relevant trade opportunities and their potential markets, organizing publicity and promotion activities of Macao's export commodities in other places, encouraging exporters, assisting in organizing training activities in different fields of international trade, and providing consulting services and technical assistance to exporters in the region; Through overall planning, promote the adoption of administrative measures necessary for handling investment project procedures and project licenses, and assist and guide investors; Evaluate and track investment projects, express indispensable opinions on the implementation of the plan, and ensure the effective coordination of franchising entities; Issue submissions on land grant for new industrial projects; Encourage activities to promote new investments, especially those of a financial nature; Cooperate with other official agencies responsible for implementing economic policies, organize receptions, joint ventures and information, and create contact opportunities for local enterprises and potential investors in other economic regions, regions or countries.
