Yuan Renqing graduated from the Department of Chinese Language and Literature of Guizhou University, 1982. He has served as editor of Journal of Zunyi Medical College, secretary of the president's office, secretary of the Communist Youth League Committee, propaganda minister and secretary of the Communist Youth League Committee, vice president of the Party School of the College, and secretary of the Party Committee of Liupanshui Normal University. Joined the Chinese Writers Association in 2004. He is currently the deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Guizhou Radio and TV University (Guizhou Vocational and Technical College) (retaining the official department level).
