Liu Yuan has nothing to do with Liu Xiaoyuan. Liu Yuan was born in a red revolutionary family and received strict revolutionary traditional culture education since childhood. As an educated youth in the workshop, he was admitted to the university by his own efforts. After graduation, he volunteered to work in grassroots rural areas. At the age of 37, he became a vice governor and was promoted to general at the age of 58. Liu Shaoqi's youngest son, Liu Yuan, is now a member of the the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC).
