It turns out that the space system is under the centralized management of the commission of science, technology and industry for national defense. Before 1998, the commission of science, technology and industry for national defense was a public institution under the dual leadership of the State Council and the Central Military Commission, which was both military in nature and part of the government. After the reform of 1998- 1999, the military functions of the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense were placed under the General Armament Department of the People's Liberation Army and became a pure government department. In this way, the space system can be roughly divided into two aspects, military system and non-military system.
The military's space system mainly includes Jiuquan, Xichang and Taiyuan satellite launch centers and space monitoring and control centers (Beijing, Xi, Roy, etc.). ), as well as some leading institutions of aerospace industry and aerospace engineering, such as manned space engineering headquarters. The function of each unit is clear from the name, for example, xichang satellite launch center is responsible for satellite launch, and so on.
The non-military system includes the National Space Administration (NASA), which is a part of the government and the National Space Administration's National Defense Science, Technology and Industry Committee, which manages the civil aerospace industry and represents the country.
The real space scientific research system has been reorganized into an enterprise system, that is, we often hear about the space science and technology group and the space science and industry group. The research institutes/institutes/divisions under these two groups are the main scientific research forces of China Aerospace. In other words, most models of aerospace products are developed by them.
