198 1 year, as one of the organizers, organized the 20th SF conference in Japan (Daicon3). The number of participants in this conference reached 1500, which set a record high at that time and was known as the "legendary conference". Due to the budget error on Daicon3, Okada Toshio had to open a SF store "General Products" in Osaka together with the organizers of Daicon3, and Okada was mainly responsible for purchasing goods. In the same year, they also won the 22nd SF Conference (Daicon4) held in Japan in 1983.

1983 became a member of Dakang Film, and organized the 22nd SF Conference (Daicon4) in Japan as one of the organizers. The number of participants in this conference reached 4000, setting a record that no one can break so far.

1984 12 established the joint-stock company GAINAX, with Okada Toshio as the president. Okada's major works include Wang Li's Cosmic Army and Climbing to the Top.

1992, Okada Toshio and Hiroyuki Yamaga and Hideaki Anno, the ancestors of Genax, had differences in economic and corporate positioning, which led to the famous "Okada Toshio Chase Incident".
