The competition is jointly organized by the Commercial Industry Committee of China International Chamber of Commerce, the Commercial Industry Committee of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the China Business Economics Association, and it is also a trial competition for the Mainland Division of the 2022 Asia-Pacific Business Case Analysis Competition. Judging from the number, quality and coverage of participating teams, Yun Ze Cup is one of the biggest mathematical modeling competitions. In recent years, there are about 40,000 or 50,000 participating teams each year, covering the vast majority of undergraduate colleges.

In the ranking list of college students' competitions, the ranking of Yun Ze Cup is relatively high, second only to internet plus, Challenge Cup and ACM. Many schools recognize the Yun Ze Cup very much, and both scientific research guarantee and comprehensive evaluation can get extra points.
