Lingao County is located in the northwest of Hainan Province, bordering Chengmai County in the east, Danzhou City in the west and southwest, Beibu Gulf in the northwest and Qiongzhou Strait and Leizhou Peninsula across the sea in the north. Lingao, formerly known as Luo Fu and Lin Ji, belonged to Xiang Jun as early as the Qin Dynasty. Shaoxing in the Southern Song Dynasty (A.D.1131-162) first moved to Jinzhimo Village. During the Republic of China, Lingao County was under the jurisdiction of Qiongya Administrative Office, Reconstruction Agency and Hainan Special Administrative Office in the Southern District. Lingao County was liberated on February1,1April, 950. 1958165438+1On October 30th, Liulin and Chengmai merged into Jinjiang County.
