A few days ago, a friend sent me a message asking if I had any friends watching Android. Their company is recruiting middle and senior Android engineers and asked me to help push them inside. The company and salary and benefits are good, so I inquired in the exchange group and received the resume of a group friend. To tell the truth, the resume is really messy. Personal information introduces too much redundant information, but misses a lot of key information. I didn't write what I should have written, but I wrote a lot that I didn't need. The project experience section even posted screenshots of many apps. Is there such an operation? (black question mark face)
Four years of work experience, regardless of skills, you will definitely lose points in hr if you give such a messy resume, and even your resume will not be screened.
How to write a beautiful resume? Note that the beauty mentioned here does not mean that your resume is beautiful, but that all kinds of big companies have high academic background. Beauty here refers to the format, typesetting, and what to write on your resume. The following are my suggestions based on my own experience and understanding:
1, we must first make clear the context. Writing a resume is actually the same as writing an article. We must first clarify this background. How many parts will a resume be divided into? Which part to put in the front and which part to put in the back.
2. The length of your resume should not be too long. It should be as concise as possible. Write the most important thing, don't be too wordy. Of course, don't write too little Generally speaking, 2-3 pages of A4 paper will do. 1 Too few pages, too many pages above 4.
The important part is on the first page. This is the first page when HR screening is resumed. So the most important things should be put on the first page, such as name, contact information, blog, Github. Of course, your blog and Github should be published only if there is something really wrong (for example, the traffic exceeds hundreds of thousands or even millions, and Github has more open source projects), otherwise it will be counterproductive.
Some suggestions on how to write a resume are mentioned above. Let's look at this part with a practical example. It is enough to divide a resume into five parts:
Resume template:
1. Personal information: Write only necessary and important information, such as phone number, email address, blog address and Github. You can also add the expected salary, so you don't need to write down the date of birth, age, address and other unnecessary things. Keep a brief introduction so that HR can read all the important information at a glance.
2. Personal experience: According to the flashback of time, list several companies you have experienced in your career. Time-company-position-responsibility can be written clearly. This section is on the first page of your resume.
3. Personal skills: There is nothing to say in this part. List the technology stack you have mastered and some solutions. If you have led a team and managed it, you can also write it here.
4. Project experience: List a few projects that can represent your ability, just 3-4. Don't write down all the small projects and demonstrations. Too many projects are boring and HR won't watch them. During the interview, the interviewer will usually ask you to choose 1-2 projects that you think you are most involved in or can best reflect your ability. There are several points in the project experience section:
5. Education experience: school-major-education-time of admission and graduation. It is enough to write these clearly. If you have won any awards or scholarships or honorary certificates in your studies, you can write them down. Of course, this part may be useful for fresh graduates. If you are a veteran in the workplace for many years, these certificates should be useless.
The above are some experiences about how to write a resume. Generally speaking, a resume can be divided into the above five parts, and the content expressed in each part is very clear, without any unnecessary and irrelevant content.
At present, many recruitment websites have resume templates, such as Zhilian, Hook and Boss. You can generate a resume by filling in relevant information, but the template is fixed and cannot be changed according to your own preferences and aesthetics. I have used them all. Relatively speaking, Boos direct employment and hook's template are slightly better. But I still suggest you use MarkDown to write your resume, which is concise and refreshing. After writing it, you can export it as a PDF file, or you can export it as Word word and html format, so it is good to export it in different scenarios.
The above resume template is my own resume template, which was changed from a resume template on Trinea Github. If you like, you can click the address:/Trinea/Trinea-download/tree/master/resume to get the original. If you need this template I use, you can reply to my resume on the official WeChat account.
I hope this article can help you get more offer in this job-hopping season!
