If we recall our own experience of learning mother tongue, it is not difficult to find that language learning is actually a lifelong mission. Learning a mother tongue begins with babbling, first speaking, then recognizing words, and then reading books and newspaper articles. As we all know, learning Chinese can't just rely on a few Chinese classes at school, nor can we just read books designated by Chinese teachers. Instead, we should rely on a lot of persistent extracurricular reading and seize every opportunity to use Chinese in our lives and work. In China, almost everyone can speak and read, but it is not so easy to have a high level of Chinese. This is true of learning a mother tongue, and so is learning a foreign language. Mastering English and having a good English level is a lifelong mission. It is true that learning English requires more efforts than learning the mother tongue. You can't just recite tofu-sized essays in class, you should rely on a lot of extracurricular reading and use this foreign language at every opportunity. This kind of reading must be adhered to, and obvious results can be seen after a period of time. This is the continuity of English education.
Like other subjects, learning English has a definite stage. The difference is that the stage of language learning is closely related to the age of learners. From children to teenagers, to young people and adults, each age group has different goals and tasks. The emphasis on English teaching stage here is to reaffirm the laws of English teaching itself, so that English teaching at all ages can meet the cognitive ability, thinking mode, mother tongue vocabulary and interest points of children of that particular age.
