Shaluli Mountain, the watershed between Jinsha River and Yalong River, is the longest and widest mountain system in Sichuan Province. Located in the west of Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture and Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture. It belongs to the central mountain range at the northern end of Hengduan Mountains. From north to south, there are Queer Mountain, Sulong Mountain, Haizi Mountain and Mula Mountain. North-south trend. Above 4000 meters above sea level. Snow peaks are continuous. Queer Mountain is 6168m above sea level; Haizishan is more than 6000 meters above sea level; Saniz is 6032 meters above sea level. It stretches southward into Yunnan Province, with a length of 500-600 kilometers from north to south and 200 kilometers from east to west. This mountain consists of granite, limestone, slate and phyllite. The ridge is more than 5500 meters above sea level and the peak is more than 6000 meters. The highest Mount Ganni is 6204 meters. Ancient ice buckets, U-shaped valleys, moraine ridges, ice boulders and glacial lakes frequently appear above 4000 meters above sea level, which is the most concentrated place of glacial lakes in Sichuan Province. There are more than 400 between Litang and Daocheng alone. Modern glaciers are distributed over 5200 meters, and the snow line is 5200-5300 meters north and 5400-5500 meters south. Due to the high mountains and narrow valleys, gravity landforms such as collapse and sliding waves are well developed. In addition, there are many mountain basins such as Litang, Maoyaba, Kangga and Daocheng on the watershed ridge, which are the main pastures in this area. Shaluli Mountain is one of the main forest areas in Sichuan. Besides coniferous forests such as Sichuan spruce, Lijiang spruce, Abies longibracteata, Abies Long Lin, Pinus taiwanensis, Alpine pine and Larix gmelinii, there are many kinds of alpine oak and birch. There are many kinds of medicinal materials in the forest area, such as velvet antler, musk, Cordyceps sinensis, Fritillaria, Codonopsis pilosula, Astragalus membranaceus, rhubarb and so on. Shaluli Mountain is the distribution center of Sichuan's precious animal white-lipped deer, as well as some rare plateau animals such as wildebeest, argali, snow leopard, Tibetan pheasant and blood pheasant.
