English professor, MTI tutor. Director of Translation Research Association of China Comparative Literature Society. His research fields are English-Chinese translation theory and practice and MTI teaching theory and practice.

Main experience

He has studied in Xiangtan University (bachelor of English, 1988), Shanghai International Studies University (postgraduate class, 1992), Hunan University (master of English, 1996), East China Normal University (doctor of English, 2007) and so on. He once worked in the School of Foreign Languages of Xiangtan University, and served as an English professor, master/doctoral supervisor, translation discipline leader, vice president and party secretary of Xiangtan University. In 2002-2003, he was sent by the National Scholarship Fund Committee to be a visiting scholar at the School of Translation and Interpretation, University of Ottawa, Canada, a world-class translation school. Under the guidance of Professor Jean Delisle, dean of the College and director of the Translation History Committee of the International Federation of Translators, he systematically studied translation theory, learned the advanced concepts of training translation professionals in the world, and deeply experienced translation teaching practice. At the same time, he also had academic exchanges and discussions with internationally renowned scholars such as Louis von Flothow, Roda Roberds and Lynn Bauck.
