The theater was established in March 2005, 1955, and a number of outstanding artists have emerged. Performed Qin Xianglian, Flowers as Media, Yang Sanjie's Complaints, Jinsha River and other plays. Established in 1955, China Pingju Theatre is an art group under the leadership of the Ministry of Culture. Her predecessor was China Pingju Troupe, which was founded in 1953 and was affiliated to China Opera Research Institute. The establishment policy of China Pingju Theater is "a demonstration theater with modern drama as the main performance form and new historical drama and excellent traditional drama after finishing". 1958 China Pingju Theatre was assigned to Beijing.

Over the past 50 years, under the guidance of the policy of building a hospital, China Pingju Theatre has restored and created more than 300 outstanding modern and traditional plays, of which more than 20 plays and more than 80 cast members have won many awards from Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China, the Ministry of Culture and Beijing. Yang Sanjie's Complaints, Qin Xianglian, Flowers as Media, Liu Qiaoer, Little Son-in-law, Jinsha River, Garland under the Mountain, Queen of Pingju, Blackhead, Four Famous Danes, etc. are deeply loved by the audience. It has created a generation of outstanding performing artists, such as Cai Lian, Hua Yuexian, Bao Kun, Chen Shaofang, Zhao Lirong, Zhang Shaohua, etc. Form an artistic creation team with strong creative ability represented by Hu Sha, He Fei, Theway, Sultan and Yao Zhang (Zhang Yao).

Large-scale dramas such as Peach Blossom Garden, Le Jia Laopu and Pingju, such as Bao Gong Zhi Dou, have had a wide impact on the society and received rave reviews.

Artists, represented by Gu, Gu, Gu, Gu and Gu, continue to make new contributions to the development of Pingju. Ma Huimin, Han Jianguang, Qi Jianbo, Kimi, Zhang, Heng Hong and other outstanding talents of the new generation inherit and innovate, and are active in the art stage of Pingju with their graceful demeanor.
